its a worry. we must not sell him! we are not that far away. i reckon if we can add a top draw striker we will have a class side. For example if we had llorente the team would look like:
................Reina
Johnson..Skrtel..Agger..Enrique
...........Lucas....Allen
..............Sahin
....Suarez...........Sterling
.............Llorente
We need to push Gerrard in the top 3 so he doesn't have to track back as much.
Midfield trio at present needs to be Allen, Sahin and shelvey
this may seem far fetched but i was thinking the same thing today, we haven't ever really worried about loosing our better players as we have always been playing CL and competing for honours but i worry that will happen with him and 1 or 2 others
i agree with you. until january we should play gerrard further forward. he's a liability now in midfield. but keeping sterling is all about our own success and getting into the top four. for that we need a top drawer striker
Please can we get rid of Gerrard.
If we got Drogba in and the team clicked we'd still be in contention for a CL place.
forget drogba. he aint coming
Technically, Gerrard has always been our best finisher. Stick him through the middle and suarez/sterling either side and we will see improvement.
I just wish suso would sign his contract as he will be next to be fast tracked in
Quiet philo let me have hope!!
Kenny never would have been playing Sterling against City and Arsenal, it would have been a midfield of Henderson, Gerrard, Adam and Downing.
I stuck him in my FF team cause he was only 4.5million having never really heard much about him. However he looks a bit of a player from what I have seen,

How much would city pay for him? If they offered say £20m and that was made available for a striker, would anyone go for that?
I think prising Sterling away from us would be a long shot for anyone with the opportunities that are coming his way. I wouldn't worry about him just yet.
Tbh, looking at his potential, it would have to be an astronomical fee for Sterling now. I know it's still early days, but he's the most exciting prospect of his position since Mcmanaman imo.
But just what would fsg consider astronomical at this stage? I'm guessing 15m would enough to tempt them...I hope I'm wrong
