Credit to Stosur, she's played this one pretty well perfectly so far, has really dampened Robson's spirit, she'll need to learn to conquer that in future.

Come on Laura hold here force Stosur to serve it out.

Brilliant to have put those double faults and service faults behind her.

Now Laura, just get those returns in girl!

No way! I don't think if any British player has ever saved 7 match points, Brilliant is not the word!
Will Mr Stosur choke now?

She's done well to still be in it. Just as well the ladies game is so weak at the moment and anybody is prone to bottling it.

What a brilliant brilliant effort from Laura Robson.

Stosur knows she's been in a match and this time next year Robson will be beating her.

And what an anti climax, Laura's win would have been so much good for the sport. Proper female tennis player, with no muscles and no shrieking.
Maybe next time.

Disappointing. I think she'll know she could have done better. Take out the silly errors and it would have been a lot closer.

Nevertheless she did well, and hopefully this signals the start of something special.

Look at what she's achieved TMF, she's beaten 2 slam champions in a row and given a third a big scare.

She's gone furthest in a Slam for a Brit for over a decade.

And she's gotten you into enjoying ladies tennis

Sam Smith was right, Krajan will be working on her serving now.

Movement was good, it was just Stosur hits so hard it takes away her time.

Hope that Heather Watson ups her game ie that these two egg each other on (and Konta too).

I predicted top 20 for year by this time next year, could be top 10!

Jonty, I am not discounting her achievment, I am happy for Laura but women tennis is so uninspiring. I hate Serena, cannot stand Shriekapova. Even Stosur was hardly playing the positive tennis, all she did was to kept the ball in and waited for robson to make a mistake.

I am really happy for Robson and you are right that I won't be watching anymore WTA matches.

Mighty

She's already done good for the sport. We as Brits can look favourably on our chances of a female player doing well at a major from now on. This should be the making of Laura Robson. The giant killings will have given her huge confidence.

This feels a little like when Murray in his low ranking days, won one of the lesser tournaments, beating Hewitt and Roddick along the way. He not long after reached the top 10 and became a force.
