The guys a legend and he would literally fork up anyone that doesn't get in line
Pat Rice, bless him, had no spine at all. He was a wet blanket who never did anything but act as beta male to Wenger, and without a second voice, we never got a second point of view.
Bould is gold. He's got the same fire he had as a player - he even looks like he could still do a job on the field. He actually looks like the video game character, Agent 47, which is quite intimidating, and I think the players respect him.
Would love him to replace wenger eventually as he seems like a SAF type where he would make the team know whos boss and wouldnt take no bull. Only downside would be he would change the style of play i think
So how much has your defence improved guys? I didnt see your first two matches but everyone is now saying Bould has made a big difference. Is it too early to suggest that or have you seen some noticeable differences in the way you defend?

What's wrong with that? Not like our styles of play over the past 7 years have brought us great success.
I saw that and my heart lifted.
I love Pat Rice for all the loyality he has shown, but really he held us back. Bould has been a revelation and kudos to Wenger for appointing him.
One of my favorite moments was after Santi scored the second everyone was celebrating on the bench and looking down the tocuhline he got up and appeared to begin barking orders at the back four.
Did you see him in the warm up? I reckon he's still faster than Per....
So how much has your defence improved guys?
-------------------------
Mr C, 3 clean sheets in 3 games and that's with our 3rd choice keeper playing in 2 matches. Kinda tells a story.
Nothing wrong with it grand theft but its something wenger has worked hard for and has set the team up and even has the youngsters playing that way. If we change our style players may struggle to adapt and alot of new signings may be needed so it would be anither transition period
Mr Chelsea -
Compared to recent seasons, our defence looks more airtight than the gas chamber. And you only have to look at it to see that Bould has made a huge difference. If he can get it working like the defence of '98, everyone else should start banking on leaving The Emirates goalless.
Serial, might have to draft in an Arsenal defender into my team then
Did anyone see Gibbs having a go at Giroud yesterday for missing that chance and not passing to him? He was about to kill him. I was thinking "pipe down son, you're a left back"
Mr C is maybe right. It's the first time we had all our CB's available and it's to early to make an ultimate conclusion. Key is that we keep our key players fit.

Quite a bit, we seem to be sitting deeper. The back four is moving as one far more effectively, previously the full backs just ran around wherever playing people onside.
Set pieces look organised, everyone seems to know there job.
Communication seems to have increased ten fold, you can see and hear them talking/shouting at each other.
We don't look like we're going to concede every time the opposition go forward because we're so hopelessly overrun. We seem better drilled and more defensively conscious all over the pitch.
Don't get us wrong it isn't perfect and we still made some mistakes but it's better.
Put it this way. It was the 85 minute and i wasn't worried a single bit that our defence might feck this up.
"Put it this way. It was the 85 minute and i wasn't worried a single bit that our defence might feck this up."
Previously I would've had multiple pairs of fresh underwear ready to change into at a moments notice.
one of the reasons why alex ferguson has been great is that he's always had fresh new influence and ideas from ever changing right hand men.
i mentioned this yesterday that, that we haven't bought any new defenders yet we have improved quite a bit. Imagine if we had bouldy's defence with our attack from a few years back, imagine the mayhem and devastation we could have caused.

That is what I felt the whole time. In comparison to our last visit at Anfield I felt we were never in any real trouble. Some mistakes here and there but overall very solid and comfortable.
I really hope we keep it tight as it is now. If Giroud finally starts to score then we will be a really tough customer for any team. Poor Giroud must really be feeling the pressure now.
I wouldn't worry about Giroud too much. His overall play was excellent. He's massive up front and just needs that one goal to boost his confidence.
I know Serial. I have said before that he has shown that he has the ability, he only needs a goal to boost his confidence and we may have an avalanche.
Torres should see Giroud's movement and take note . He might have fluffed the chance but the way he ran in then out created havoc.
Did anyone see Gibbs having a go at Giroud yesterday for missing that chance and not passing to him? He was about to kill him. I was thinking "pipe down son, you're a left back"

Too funny
Talk about team encouragement!!!!
I think Giroud mis-firing atm might be a blessing in disguise, assuming it doesn't go on for much longer.
He might turn out to be the exact opposite of Chamakh, start poorly then goes on to have an incredible Arsenal career, before we then cash in and sell to the highest bidder

Seriously? Hate to have a go at him already but his touch was awful, his lay offs were lazy, didn't win many headers and when he did win them he didn't direct them to anybody. He just seemed a distraction to the LFC CBs without worrying them much.
One thing I will say thought is that his movement is very good but then again so was Bendtner's.
