Very good assessment Donaldo. I think the patience is needed by the fans Nookie, the "owners" have already given their backing to Gavin Baldwin's master plan. They have bought in to the initial 2 year plan.
As for DS buying into the scheme of lower waged players, he has definitely done that. You say, as did SoD, but it appears to me that SoD had much more to spend and much more to waste, on crocked players and long, high priced contracts. Hence the mess we are in.
It is not all SoD's fault, I hasten to add, he was allowed to do these things thanks to the then Board. They have only themselves to blame.
So pleased i didnt spend almost £1000 on 3 season tickets.Me n ionly could have had a right good holiday with that money
its just a small place near Gozo
If you actually said the word Gozo before the word Malta to a Maltese, they'd probably rip you '5' ar5eholes!
Yes agreed, it is the "sister island" to Malta and much more baron, as those of us who have been surely know. I remember a very bad ferry crossing in 1986 and the bow doors being opened prior to entry to the port, (Then we had the Herald of Free Enterprise). Coming out again in very choppy seas the ferry went out more or less sideways to find the deep water. One good point was that it was too cold for the sharks, always a worry when swimming in Malta for me.
Not seen a big shark near Malta for 25 or so years (7 metres, 3 tonnes the biggest).
Tiger sharks 10km out and Shortfin Mako sharks around the fish farms yes, but none near swimming areas.
Jellyfish has been the big problem over the last few years.
Nobody has mentioned that we may get "Relegated"
I also remember a bad ferry ride to Gozo in 1966 - I was on Malta with the RAFVR. We joked the ship would never make it across Bridlington Bay. My wife still has the Maltese lace blouse I bought on Gozo for 15 Bob. Of course, these were pre-Mintoff days (well, before he became PM), and most locals loved the Brits in uniform.
I watched the 1966 World Cup Final in the Luqa Mess on Italian TV with a BBC radio commentary. G & Ts were one shilling in the Mess - 8 pence for the tonic and 4 pence for a double gin!
We also flew over to USAF Wheelus (spelling?) Air Base in Libya. How the world has changed!
One of the things I love about JA606 is that we have supporters in so many places - some which bring back great memories.

Very True. Good Banter (Sometimes very heated).
Memories can never be taken from you. Talking of Libya. My late wife and I were in Malta when the first Gulf War started, I can tell you I have never witnessed a plane with passengers getting off at the back as we were getting on the front, refuelled and back in the air in less than 30 mins,, I have never taken a corner so fast in a 737 then we were up. I just waited for the bang when we were up and over Sliema. Thankfully it did not come.
Many happy memories of me and my Special Lady there. (God Bless)
There was a fella from Bolton who was at Normandy when the first bullet went off, he was back in Bolton before the second one.
By the way, IO don't know about anyone else, but I have finally taken the Rovers website off my favourites list, it is an abomination.
Yep. he went past me like a shot. Eli Sprokett was his name
Does that mean you do not like it or it is not to your taste or liking ?
I'm sick to death of the pop up when you open it - You don;t leave a pop up for that long as it ANNOYS people.
Pain in the Ars£ that you can;t get player commentary on a iPhone but I forgot to cancel so I am signed up for another year
It means ionly, that I cannot stand the thing, as I suspect is the case with many others.

Oh I See. You do understand that you will be pilloried by some people. I actually agree with you and as and when I look at it, I go through the browser. But I am not totally cloned by DRFC and smokescreen owners. AAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thats me done for HHEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP MMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I understand that the clubs themselves are very angry with the Football League about the website design which is shared by them all. You might ask why they allowed it to be rolled out to them in the first place, but they seem to have organised themselves now to make a firm stand in a meeting with the League.
I suspect that there may have been a financial packet.
