"I can't figure why Arsene wants to hold on to a player who has completly lost respect for your club."
Quote? Proof?
Xavi has been quoted in the Spanish press that Cecs was to go to Barca. Surely they are no Gooners who think that he wants to stay another year?
You could command big fees for both, but stand to lose a lot of money on Nasri by letting him walk next year.
First Fabregas has not issued any public statements that
he wants to leave even if that is his wish. All statements have been made by Barcelona and the press.
Second what do you suggest that Arsenal capitulate and sell the player on Barcelona's terms. This is a club
who have shown zero ethics or respect.
The same applies to the likes of Chelsea,Man Utd and
Man City who are constantly tapping up and attempting to destabilise players of other clubs.
It is high time that FIFA,UEFA,FA and EPL deal with this behaviour. Sadly ethics is not a strong suit for any
of them and only money talks. However, they should take note what is happening to News International, because that may ultimately impact on the sport.
Insofar as the so-called 'great signings' at Liverpool. Time will tell whether they have bought good value.
Suarez was a good buy, but personally I have doubts about Messrs Carroll,Henderson and Downing. They
are in my view average players bought at grossly inflated prices.
His respect for the club is the thing thats stopped him from handing in a transfer request. I'd have to disagree about your "cracking" signings as well, the likes of charlie adam and henderson do not exactly inspire fear. I mean we have aaron ramsey as third choice in our midfield, compared with liverpools new 16million pound saviour, just shows the gulf in class seperating the clubs
Cracking signings? Is this a wind up? Honestly? I'm honestly amazed at Dalglish's policy of signing average talent for outrageous figures, absolutely bizarre...
"It's good news for Liverpool though..."

Keep grasping at straws eh fella?
The only hope Liverpool have got of top four is if Arsenal, Spurs and Everton have complete 'mares this season.
It'll have nothing to do with your... ahem, "cracking signings".

i think Barcelona have always had a major chip on their shoulder about having lost Fabregas to Arsenal in the first place.
=====
Exactly, that's about the size of it.
Barce are a wonderful club, but do have spoilt kid syndrome! Like a lot of "big clubs" that have success.
Their behaviour over the "fee" for Fabregas is frankly baffling. They do actually see him as theirs...
Interesting comments, perhaps I am being a bit harsh on Cecs, but the point is No team is going to benefit by keeping players who don't really want to stay. With CL football Arsenal should be able to attract some good replacements.
If not then your might lose those two anyway next season but not have CL football to attract better replacements.

Cracking signings
Not but seriously Aggers Elbow
If you were told Kenny was to be given 103m to sign players
Who would you have liked Kenny to sign?
2 central midfielders
1 winger
2 strikers
What names would have come in your head?
Im guessing "Adam,Downing,Henderson,Carroll" wouldnt have been first on your list
Maybe Suarez would have.
I'll join in as well. Cracking signings
Well personally I would have liked to have seen the likes of Mata and Aguero but we have to been realistic about who's going to come without CL football.
On the other hand the signings we made are overpriced(apart from Adam who was a steal) but they all have Premiership experience and will hit the ground running. Were not world beaters but I think we will be much more competetive.
There is also a drawback signing foreign players as we found with Torres and Alonso and you are finding with Cecs and Nasri.
I think you could've done better than mid table standard players to be honest.
Hmm i think kenny plan is bit risky but i dont think he needed to sell the club to the players you signed at all. i think once they knew liverpool were after them, that was it. foreigners might have needed more persuaded, more money etc

So quick to forget... so quick to forget.
I do believe that club's should have a reasonable number of British
players in their squad for obvious reasons.
We have also to accept that they are generally overpriced and lack the skills and flair of the imported players.
What is plainly obvious also that a lot of the foreign imports particularly from Europe and South America do not settle well in
the North of England specifically in towns like Liverpool,Manchester and Newcastle. Tevez, Mascherano and Torres have all said as much.
On the other hand London is considered a more cosmopolitan city
and players arriving there whether from France,Italy,Spain or
South America find it much easier to settle down there.

Funny, we're not getting so many people coming on to tell us Arsenal care more about profits than success at the moment.
