Give your money to me. That'll teach em

IMO you are actually helping Bates stay at ER if you buy tickets so is Bates winning now?
Bates only wants cash, you are giving it to him
You must be able to separate your love and support of Leeds United FC and the future of the football club.
Short term pain is worth the sacrifice.

Personally I say go to watch the football, politics at board level means nothing to me while 11 players are running around wearing the shirt.

whilst I don't agree with boycotts, I have no problems with people staying away due to feelings that it isn;t value for money.... afterall, it's an entertainment business, and if its not fulfilling enough for the money, so be it

It's not my club but I'd say stuff it, if you love the club then go.

If Mugabe bought Huddersfield I'd still go. Cheering on the lads, well, it's in our blood isn't it?

They can take your cash but they'll never take your passion for the team away from you, that's yours for keeps.

The more people that go means more voices get heard. Keep up the protests and Papa Smurf will eventually take the hint.

Champus, good comments, I still go, and love going, I can't say I like hearing 'bates out' chants in mid game.

I can see the point of veiw though...

and I do think it's a massive shame to be honest, that politics at board level has really got us the fans... it happens... but I can't tell me my sons I'm not taking them to watch thier english football team because of some 80 year old geezer that owns the club.....

to be honest, if prices were more on a level with other teams / clubs around where we are in terms of league position then we would go some where to getting a full house back.....

It's such a tough one. Like you Tusc, I want to watch football at Elland Road and no-one should stop me.

However are we directly hindering a sale because we haven't forced his hand.

I've been thinking about this one and I'd be more likely not to go if we had a shameful manager who didn't care for Leeds whatsoever.

With this current team we have heart and desire (and long balls!). We have none of that in the Board room tho.

And why would I give you money Champagne?! You'd only give it to Grayson to fund his terrible loans in the next few weeks.

Horsey, yeah I hear you mate.... it is a tough one.... I can;t help but feel that if everybody stopped going, and didn't part with cash, then Bates would just put us back in admin (clearly not over night) but after a season of no income it would happen eventually, then we'd be minus 15 again or even worse, we'd sell any good players, get relegated and then go into admit again.... putting us back where we started 5 years or so ago...

I do worry about our club...

For those who 'short term pain', I would only say that such pain could have started in earnest three or more years ago when the hardcore anti-KB really started.
I recall calls for staying away some time before BBC diutched these forums.
Problem there is that KB or no Leeds and supporting the club is bigger than any feelings I have for KB.
I want to watch the team so I watch and ignore any misgivings I may have, sure in the knowledge that sooner or later KB will go whether voluntarily or by God's will.
Sorry to those with stronger 'political' affiliation and will-power but after 45 years of regular attendance as an ST holder living a long way away I am going to ER as frequently as I can

Them who talk about boycotts, are ones who didnt go that often anyway,

and will rarely go once bates goes.

Real supporters of the club do not boycott because of who is in charge

No no no, I wouldn't do that, Hoyle has enough cash!

I was actually going to wire it directly to Madrid so that poor, destitute Ronaldo can finally afford new underpants and isn't "sad" anymore

The correct version follows. Damn my finger pressing 'send' instead of 'preview'...

I'm sticking with my penultimate line on this article.

For gods sake LIW, lighten up.

Why does everything you do have to be confrontational? Sure the OP didn't create this thread on the hope it turned into yet another pathetic Leeds v Huddersfield WUM thread.

I'm quite capable of visiting your board for reasonable discussion, maybe you could think about being adult enough to do the same once in a while?

posted on 4/9/12

champus reasonable and LIW don;t usually enter the same sentance unless your his mate, and aparently its passion

On our board today someone asked the question if we did get Beckford on loan next week, which Leeds fan would make the first pathetic WUM attempt. He immediately picked LIW for himself which says it all really! I wanted Frank Strandli but wasn't quick enough and had to settle for meme.

"Them who talk about boycotts, are ones who didnt go that often anyway"

thats not entirely true as ive spent every spare penny ive earned over the last 12 years following Leeds, home, away, in europe....but now its come to the point where my money is been taken and im being laughed at by a crook who holds me in such contempt and who is running this club into the ground for his own personal gain.

By all means keep going, as many will, and thats fine, but im sick of seeing my money going in to Bates' deep pockets for no return....once he leaves, ill be back within 5 minutes

settle for meme, fantastic
