Right, I’m gonna say it. I’m done with Conte. I’m just not interested in this style of football. It’s not a great deal different to life under Jose. We’ve been outplayed all season, despite some fortunate results, yet he persists with the same team and formation. We lose a right back, why not bring on Spence to see what he can do in a defensive capacity? I’m done with him. He’s completely risk adverse and he will never, ever get us playing good football. What are we even doing?
I’m gonna say it now. We will not finish top four this year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit of an overreaction I think. You still cannot fault the results and the fact he got us top 4. These are the things which separate him from Jose...so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think it is. This isn’t just about today’s result. We’ve been abject and passive all year. We’ve signed a host of players for a lot of money in the summer and most of them aren’t given a chance. Levy won’t be happy with that as that’s dwindling valuation of assets.
If we end up this year with top four and a trophy I’ll come on here and apologise but we won’t. We’ve regressed from last year from what I can see and everyone else, quite clearly Arsenal (I said we’d get a tonking), have improved.
Conte is not as great as everyone thinks he is. I’m sick of him already.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes the performances have been poor compared to the results. The results however are more important and if you're looking at it more measuredly you have to say we were always going to lose a game over the season and Arsenal away is tough at the best of times.
No doubt improvements need to be made but you can't be writing Conte off already after getting top 4 the previous season and even based on this season's results.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think some people have more tolerance for shiiiiit football that others. When Klopp often says “to me, this isn’t football”, even though he’s criticising our manager, I agreed with him at the time. I love spurs but I also love good football. I believe there is a right way to play the game so I’m more inclined to lean towards the pep, Klopp, Poch, Wenger, Cruyff and now Potter style of winning with style and domination. I’m not saying everyone has to agree with me but frankly, I’m really bored watching us of late.

We'd all like good football and I wanted Potter before Conte came. So long as results are being produced then you can get away with it and we were even second highest scorers in the league prior to today.
If Conte wins us something while at this club for presumably a short amount of time, and performs well in the league, then it will be worth sacrificing whatever poor football we are playing. I am willing to trust in him.
I think his style is detrimental to many of the players, we have some decent players just being miss used ,for a start I would be playing Spence for 3 or 4 games straight and I think he would surprise a lot of people, suspect Doherty will be ahead of him though, he certainly has his favourites and refuses to change, feel for some of the younger players

As an Arsenal fan I have to say I agree with the idea that I'd much rather watch us try and play good football than see us play calculated negative football and still come up short...but if you find a way to keep winning you also find ways of justifying it. I also think Conte is a really smart manager, and yes you lost today, but that game could easily have gone the other way as it did for us when we lost to Utd despite trying to play all the football. You've managed to pick up 17 points from 8 games (more than 2 points a game) having played Chelsea and Arsenal away. You're in a great position. I also think Conte is only interested in winning stuff, and has no interest in starting a "project". He is setting you up to get the best results from the players you have. When he got it right at Chelsea they actually did play some good football, but they also completely controlled games by having their wingbacks force the opposition wingers deep. It was low-risk football, and although you have a different style, it feels like he's trying to do the same with you - low risk, pick up goals and points on the break, don't risk too much on any one game/performance. Remember this season is going to be even longer than most, so Conte's strategy of not tiring your players out but picking up points without expending too much energy seems pretty sound to me, ugly as it is to watch.
But as with Mourinho, if it doesn't work out now, it's not going to get better, this isn't a project for the future, it's all about winning right now. It feels like at Arsenal we're doing well, but we've also got an eye on next season and the season after, hence why the good results are almost a bonus on top of playing well. We've got a free shot at the title race (which will turn into a City parade almost certainly), and will happily take fourth if we have to.

Sporting losing to the french and 10 men down. Happy Days
π¨ JUST IN: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson, Højbjerg, Bentancur, PerišiΔ; Richarlison, Kane, Son. | #thfc's line-up vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Unchanged then
No place to hide for these lot.
Important game to get something out of, before we have a couple home games which we should expect to win. We need to target qualifying ASAP so we can manage games better
Would like to see some changes but just don't think this is the game for it.

Same old Shiite again and still a 2 man midfield. Why oh why hasn't he given someone else a chance a right back knowing that clown Royal is out for 3 matches after this
Royal got a 3 match ban? Surely not

Conte is very stubborn… isn’t he!
Watching the Hoddle documentary… I wonder how he would manage this group of players we have now… you just know it would be 3-5-2…
He had some truly appalling players at Spurs, during his time as manager there!!

Conte is very stubborn… isn’t he!
Watching the Hoddle documentary… I wonder how he would manage this group of players we have now… you just know it would be 3-5-2…
He had some truly appalling players at Spurs, during his time as manager there!!
