ceballos looked like he could have something, holtby was good, and thought carroll looked good especially 2nd half, thought soldado looked sharp, fryers is not good enough for a top club imo

Very entertaining game, lots of mistakes and rustiness but some positives too.

Caroll looked comfortable, Holtby buzzed around as usual, Ceballos showed promise and that nutmeg from Falque in the lead up to the penalty was class.

Capoue did well also and i hope he can really push on this season he is a fine player.

We still have Lloris, Walker, Chiriches, Vertonghen Davies (hopefully), Sandro ?? Bentaleb, Dembele, Chadli and Adebayor to come in aswell.

Oh and of course Eriksen !!

Been watching a bit of Sporting Kansas v LA Galaxy, been an entertaining game

Kent I watch a bit off it that free kick was class but the celebration with the blue powder was funny

I watched the Toronto match which was decent

I thought the whole back 4 in the first half looked poor.
Cut wide open time and time again.

Also not keeping possession well with slack passing.

If vert goes, which he will if barca are serious, we need 2 new CBs

Missed the game last night. Does anyone want to make the effort and give us some player ratings etc.?

Btw for those interested, there's still a load of member tickets left for QPR (first home game).

I'm going in Block 16 this year. New season, new stand for me : )

Ginger wouldn't like to give ratings as was very early days yet.

Clearly we need the defence looking at at but let's be honest the four that started the game I'd be surprised if they started at west ham.

Still have a lot of players to come back yet.

My standout out players was

Carroll
Ceballos
Capoue - not that he was excellent but I liked how composed he was on the ball and wanted to do more than just tackle Like a normal DM

Nice to see Carroll had a good game. I saw him a few times up at Derby and he didn't look great, but when he's played for us (e.g. Europa) he's looked promising.

I do like the idea of local youth players making it into the first team squad. It'd be a shame if all of the young crop were sold on - Caullker gone already (still can't believe that) and Livermore also (fair enough). Would be nice if Carroll, Kane or Townsend made it.

Fack - depressing to think the next youth 'regular' will be the first to make it since Ledley (?) and before him Campbell (!)
