I actually don’t think it’s bad analysis as that was what Lloris was at, even early in his careers (Sanchez goal in the 2-2, Salah scuffed goal in the 4-1 etc)

The Luis Diaz disallowed goal reminded me of Lloris in goal actually too - but it’s not relevant for Gomes’s goal

I think it's a bad analysis in that every keeper ever has struggled with accurate, powerful shots low into the corner. It's good finishing. It's what strikers are trained to do cos they're very hard to save. It's that or the keeper getting beat at the near post

Agree, if they’re too far over near post is an easy goal, they’re more likely to miss the far corner than the near post, plus there’s a chance a defender can get back there to help defend it.

Watching MOTD, Jack Harrison had a point blank shot low and hard, to Vic's right and he saved it. For Gomes' goal Skipp is in his way. The worst opinion I have seen on here for some time.
