Defending with arms behind back way too early indicates to attacker to run rather than shoot. So obvious.

It was poor from Romero but I do have some sympathy re: the arms behind the back thing, since the handball rule is so facking shiiite.

To be fair, like VDV I don't think Werner has played that much football lately so lacking match sharpness.

Sounds really negative of me and I don't mean to sound like this, but regardless of how well Ange has started to life with us, I've always put this season down to a bedding in season

To think how we could be next season with a year behind us in this system and another transfer window, I'm fairly content at our standing so far, regardless of frustrations

That's nowhere near a negative comment

I'm scapegoating BJ because he's been our worst player.

There are probs all over the place really. The midfield can't put pressure on high up, or Richarlison. When you play a high line it gives players the chance to play the ball over the top of our defence and leaves our fullbacks stranded in midfield.

We know it can work with the right players but these aren't the ones for this system. Midfield especially.

To think really our midfield and forwards would be:

Bissouma(or bents), Sarr, Maddison, kulu, son and Johnson. Only one of those available exc bents.

Skipp is out of his depth, headless chicken, one good pass but nothing otherwise.

Werner lacking belief and confidence.. going to take a lot of work from Ange to get him up to speed.

Johnson, said at time of signing, just don't get him at all, poor in/out of possession. No final product, weak.. if he wasn't quick he'd have nothing really. Nice lad though!haha.

Neville was right at HT, this hands behind the back is costing us more goals than handballs
