probably the best performance we could have hoped for from that team, knew we were gonna be lacking creativity but controlled the game well. clearly tired a lot in those last 20 minutes so think when Ange brought Dragusin on was him saying he was happy with the point

Amazing that johnson played the whole match. Santiago/Donley surely couldn’t have been any worse for a last 10 mins but game was on a knife edge so fair play
Also Werner obviously brand new and barely even trained with the side but I expected a bit more intent on his debut... Seemed very tentative and happy to take the easy back pass. Ange will drill that out of him soon no doubt

He needs minutes so happy he played as long as he did. Definitely showed some glimpses IMO

Though Richarlison led the line really well.. worked hard & got his goal…
Werner did ok… on his debut
My main concern is Johnson… he s just nowhere near good enough… never takes his man on… & his crossing is normally over hit… He hides the rest of the time… terrible defensively
Skipp offered plenty of hard work… but always looks for the safe pass…
Can’t wait to see us with Maddison, Kulu, Son, Bissouma, Sarr & Lo Celso back… that’s 6 quality players, missing for us today!!

I’m struggling to see what it is Ange sees in Johnson. Loads of people claim he has all the attributes to be s truly top player but I just can’t see it at all. Occasionally he has the same deft touch as Dele but he’s very wasteful.
Werner is hard working but with end product like that probably not going to be anything more than a squad player. Same as BJ. At least Richarlison is becoming more convincing as a goal scorer. But between all the front players we still need a more proven goal scorer.
Johnson is the weakest link, we need an upgrade like an Aaron Lennon of old
Bentancur is class though. Don't care how many times I say it. Richy's best game in a Spurs shirt to date. Porro decent going forwards as usual. PEH and Skipp played to their levels. Not too shabby.
Get Kulu and Madders back and we should be alright for the next few games.

BJ can definitely improve, when the other players get back it would be better to use him more sparingly.
He can cause problems with his pace so he can still be a good squad player, we are just at the bare bones at the moment

Skipp is far from good enough. He improved as the game went on and 100% gave his all with the pressing but the game mainly passed him by
