I said weeks ago it’s typical we play them just as Toney returns. It’s galvanized them - a month ago this would’ve been a walk in the park.

Yep use a variation on plan A

Werner at the end sums it all up.

They’re defending aggressively with loads behind the ball and hitting us on the counter, it’s hardly revolutionary but with the right players it can undo teams that want to play high with lots of possession, as we know from some of our results against City in recent years. The fact our front 3 is pretty unimaginative really doesn’t help against this set up, plus Brentford are good at defending set pieces. Now they have the advantage it’s gonna be a fecking long night.
