I was abit surprised but the midfield needed changing. First he took Kulu off then Madders. After the Fulham game it sends out a good message to everyone.

🎙️| Ange Postecoglou on if his halftime change had the desired impact:

“Yeah, [Brennan] was good. We felt that in the first half Deki was probably coming inside a little bit too much and we felt that Timo was certainly getting some opportunities down the left-hand side and if we got Brennan on the right-hand side that he could equally be a threat. I thought both wingers in the second half were outstanding.”

Doesn't sound like Kulu was injured

Apparently that’s 6 first haves on the bounce without a goal.

Thought Dragusin played well today. Not a natural LCB but fairly solid. A couple of driving runs and a drop of the shoulder. Decent.

No for us. Johnson flicked in close range and was just about cleared off the line with the tiniest edge of the ball still over the line.

BJ unlucky not to get 2 assists and a goal today. Had he done he'd be on 9 assists and 5 goals which would equate to almost a goal contribution every 90 minutes. He's doing pretty well for his first season with us.

Works much better as a sub though, running at tired defenders. Very useful to have in that respect and still very young so he has plenty of time to improve.

We should be all over Eze in the summer, another good performance from him today.

The best thing about Brennan is how quickly he releases the ball. He knows he is not a tricky ‘take your man on winger’ so plays to his strengths which are speed and seeing the pass quickly. That was the difference when he came on. Both Werner and Kulu were guilty of dithering on the ball too long and missing players in good positions. Their goal came from Kulu hanging on to the ball too long.

Kulu needs some time on the bench for me. He isn’t quite suiting the style atm and some perspective from the bench may help.

What position would Eze play and instead of which current player?

Back up for Maddison but I’d have him in the team over Werner or kulu

Eze and Johnson on the wings

He improves first team and squad

Yes he would improve the squad but I'm not sure where his best position is in the system. Also would like to see him finish the season injury free before contemplating signing him.

Neto was all the rage a few weeks ago..

Agreed on his injuries ….like you say if he finishes the season without injury then I reckon we should be all over him

Someone will sign him this summer is my hunch

Eze seems to be the stand out at the moment. In form in the PL, English, creative, can play different attacking positions, and unlike Gallagher, probably more willing to come to us from Palace. I would hope that we'll consider him.

Eze gives us better cover overall, I would trade Gil and Solomon for him all day long. He can play on the right or in the middle - so a bit like Kulu.

We are almost certainly in Europe next year so there are more games and we will need cover all over. Yes he has injury issues but that’s because Palace flog him to death - they blasted him against Everton a couple of months back whilst he was still injured. At Spurs he will be rotated much more and I would imagine less susceptible.

If we spent £125m on Eze, Gallagher and Kelly in the summer then I think we’ve had a good window - improves the squad and starting 11, helps with the home grown quota and they all fit into Ange’s style. Then hopefully either a blockbuster CF or an under the radar Paratici special to round it out.

Wharton looked very good yesterday as well - I hope we don’t end up kicking ourselves for not pulling the trigger there

I think he is defo on our radar. When we played Palace at home, it was reported his entourage had a private box at the game and several of our players were chatting to him. We will have plenty of competition for him.
