Additionally, what were your pre-season expectations for us?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My expectations are admittedly very low after years and years of failure. Although success/failure can be personal.

What I wanted: to win a cup (any) and top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Your expectations are 'low' and you wanted top 4 and a cup!?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I couldn't tell you in all honesty. But my expectations are lower now than they were at the start of the season.

And I'd expect to be Southampton at home that season with those players, yes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well the Spurs team that finished 3rd that season had the following results at homes against teams in the midtable:

0-0 vs 8th place team
2-2 vs 9th place team
2-2 vs 10th place team
0-0 vs 11th place team
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did they also have a player sent off?

Also, missing Kane is far worse than missing Solanke. Verts/Toby is far worse than have Romero out.

We miss VDV far more than Romero IMO at the moment. A class above Romero.

Anyway. I digress. Look, il offer and olive branch here and admit I'm being abit facetious. I get tired of the same shet from this club all the time. Yea, bmdrawijf at home to Fulham in isolation is not the end of the world. But it's just these results are all too common at the moment, and if I'm honest I don't see much improvement from us. I genuinely have no idea what the future holds for us. But I'd guess we aren't going to all of a sudden see us challenge for alot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A player sent off in the 83rd minute.

I just think people are losing their minds over a result that isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things. There definitely are issues with the club and Ange's tactics.

But, and I really can't stress this enough, we had to play our FOURTH choice LW, 3rd Choice Striker, neither of our starting CBs and a GK whose first professional appearance was when Edgar Davids was playing for spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're talking too much sense Edin. Bake has Real Madrid mentally in his support for Spurs.

Any loss or draw deserves an off with head response. Total arrogance and delusion. Ignore all the facts and our our own standing in the game.

Stay humble.

Good line up - Son well over due a dropping and Porto playing as much as he is was concerning.

Love Madders and Kulu together with Solanke up top and BJ.

Gonna upgrade my prediction to a 3-2 Spurs win

Glad solanke is back

Spence not gonna start for us ever is he

Something about DJ Ed that Ange clearly doesn't like. He was super clear and straightforward in his comments about Gray and Bergvall but cryptic about Spence

posted on 5/12/24

Which is weird as Spence seems the most "ange" fullback we have who isn't Udogie

Don't get not starting Spence tbh. I see gray as a 6 going forward, don't think he's got the pace and recovery in our current system.

Spence has looked good in the small moments he's had this season. Having him 3rd in pending order is not good. Unless he's seeing him more as udogie back up with Davies playing LCB at the moment.

Who's LW then?

posted on 5/12/24

Free djed spence. This is ridiculous. Gray is gonna get cooked and slyly i wouldn’t even mind it (providing we still win). Gray should be playing CM, and Spence should be fking playing

Why did they give him a new contract if he werent gonna get a chance? Levy trying to increase his value before selling in jan?

posted on 5/12/24

As in when Gray plays, he should be in CM. its sh!t for his development to keep playing out of position

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Disagree. CM is the key area. It's too early for him to be trusted there and we have options. He's 18. There's no hurry in his development. Any experience at this level is great for him.
