I didn't even look on the thread once today until now
I am not advocating for yet another manager change but jesus if MP is a top manager then I hope to god we never get a boring predictable manager that is afraid to go for a result, does not seem to know his best team and employs the same tactics every week even when they are not working.
God if we got a manager like that we would end up drawing at Burnley and getting knocked out of the cup by somebody like Leicester ffs

Off the field our club is being run superbly (albeit hiccups along the way regarding the stadium)
We have a training centre which is the envy of Europe and we are now producing some excellent home grown talent.
We have no debt as its stands although that will obviously change when the stadium is built and each season our overseas marketing is improving.
On the pitch we have an excellent young manager who is still learning who believes in promoting young players and playing attacking football. However we desperately lack experience and leadership and this MUST be addressed in the summer.
As others have mentioned we need a Gallas type at the back, someone who can captain the side, organise, someone who is a proven winner that can lead our young side. Also a James Milner type in cm to partner the excellent Bentaleb..
Hopefully our new scouting team can unearth a Bony or Benteke and a fast direct wide player.
Of course we also have to find suitable buyers for the likes of Adebayor, Kaboul, Paulinho etc.
Finally we just need to face the face the fact for the next few years Champions league football is not attainable and Concentrate on winning trophies.

Firstly how is an excellent manager still learning what a lot would call basics?
He may be a good manager, he may even be a good prospect as a manager but in no way is he excellent.
Secondly, how is it knee jerk when I have been highlighting exactly the same issues for most of the season?
As for this "putting players in the shop window" fantasy does everybody think all clubs are as stupid as we seem to be with a lot of our signings?
Let me see a manager is looking for a new centre back. He see Chiriches in the Spurs team at Burnley and we keep a clean sheet so he goes hell for leather to sign him.
Hardly, he might actually check how many games Chiriches has played this season. He might then say "holy sh it" Spurs have been dreadful in defence all season and yet Chiriches still could not get a game.
Nobody with half a brain is going to sign a player without a decent bit of research and as soon as anybody researches Chiriches we will be stuck with him like we were with BAE. Managers may gamble on somebody who has proven he can score goals but not many are going to gamble on a defender who is a catastrophe at best and a liability at worst.
Vlad will be easily sold in the summer... Probably the easiest player to get rid off! Well liked by a number of Italian sides!
