Vertonghen relies too heavily on pressuring the defender when the ball is in the air. Want to see him challenge a bit more.

That was one of the biggest criticisms of us last season. We'd literally just pass it around the back four for 2 minutes. Get closed down, back it back to De Gea who would hoof it up field. Then it'd come back to us, and we'd repeat it.

We didn't quite get what 'playing from the back' meant..

That said, part of your problem is Walker.

Gifting the ball away again. Lessons have clearly not been learnt. General play good, but same mistakes being made.

Chadli anonymous again, he scores goals yes, but he really has to contribute more.

Thats down to coaching/training...teaching players to pass into space or areas which enable your team mate to beat the man without to much effort

Did the momentum have to switch so much? I mean we've barely got out of our half since the goal

I think you are being a bit negative so far I dont think we are doing that badly to be honest

We were playing fine up until the goal. Just need to get the heads switched back, we're clearly capable of playing decent football against them.

Some of them have been soft, but some of them are for shirt pulling/grabbing an arm. Nothing in them really.

This has been a half of two halves.

They're all 50:50 decisions but kill all attempts we have at pressing the ball.

Thing is we have no plan B. Harry kane has a bad game or having a mare infront of goal we have no one to come in and replace him. I will be livid if levy Dosent get a striker in before the window
