Spurs always seem to feck up when they have a chance to really jump into the top four.

I hate it when strikers shoot too. So annoying. Remember the days when Shearer and the like would lay the ball off for their team mates.

What are you on about? When a player is in a better position you rightly pass it to him and not shoot in hope all the time. Maybe you think Townsend is a fantastic player because all he ever does it shoot too.

Silly comment. I dont blame Kane for this solely because we should have got in a Striker.

No, I like Kane shooting because last season he scored a lot of goals. Like the two seasons when Bale was selfish and started winning games. Townsend had maybe four good games (2 with England) in Autumn 2013, not the same.

According to the pundits, Liverpool would have won the game without their injuries. What about Spurs didn`t they have any players missing? Son, Dier, Mason, Bentaleb, etc. You have to laugh at their bias.

Bunch of faacking pisstains the lot of them. If a gunman broke into the BT studios and shot him in the face I don't think many would lose sleep over it. Truly awful pundit Owen.

Poch at his worst?

Two of our subs were because of injuries ffs and we all know Townsend is terrible footballer.

Is it Pochs fault that Kane doesnt put chances away? Pochs fault that Dier is suspended or Pochs fault that Son is injured?

Totally predictable how the Pool loving media are banging on about Pool`s injuries while totally ignoring the 5 players Spurs had missing,

#standardpoollovingmediamuppets

I thought it was an awful game, mainly due to Pool`s negative tactics, we shaded it and probably deserved to win.

Pool had one decent chance the entire game, but we are still unbeaten since the first game and we can`t grumble too much in the face of the usual Pool media party.

To be fair to Liverpool, they did press Spurs really well, difficult to get anything really going, which means when Spurs got the odd chance you really did have to bury them. Never mind, better than the last couple of seasons.

Whenever we play teams who set up defensively at the lane we always struggle to break teams down.

Teams who attack us leave spaces in behind which we are good at exploiting.

We are

What subs would you have made then?

Here's what you could have used

THFC subs: Vorm, Davies, Trippier, Wimmer, Townsend, Winks ( have take Njie out as basically started the game )

@SpursOfficial: #THFC: Lloris (c), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dembele, Dier; Lamela, Eriksen, Townsend, Clinton

Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Rose, Alli, Onomah, Winks, Kane

Quite like the balance of that side . Big game for crazy legs Clinton.

Of all the permutations I hope it isn't Eriksen starting left. I'd prefer Andros there myself

Glad Kane is having the night off, I'd not bring him on if we aren't losing

Will be either Eriksen or Lamela left IMO

He never seems to play Townsend there if Lamela on the pitch.

Would love to see Wimmer start, really impressed with the times he's played

Was it the Rabona game they both played, and well. Switching sides, Townsend set a couple up?

Can't think of many they have started together off the top of my head.

Maybe not sure.

Got to play forward quickly otherwise Njie might struggle

Just seen the lineup absoloutely fuming to see Kane there at all.

Kane was ruled out injured 2 days ago with a slight knee injury. He was meant to be out for two weeks. Yet there he is.

What I'm saying is not a joke or for effect I was down the training centre today. Let's pray it was a miracle recovery. Because personnel wise we are up against it for the next few games if we lose Kane too!

Not happy to see the winger n'jie played up top (played twice I believe for Lyon as a forward) but needs must today. his pace looks amazing so hopefully he can get in behind anderlechts rubbish defence.

We have a lack of forward options ( thanks levy )

If we don't buy a striker in Jan then it's a complete joke

LLM

How close are Harrison or Loft to getting a bench place for Europe? I know they are only babies, but another injury and we have zilch to fall back on
