I wouldn't be surprised if Capoue would have played if he hadn't opened his mouth the other day

talent is a pool of players not wanted by there clubs

mitchu, routledge, shelvey, dyer, britten

how many of them before he got them would you had in our team?

me none.

if he had our squad then imo hed turn us into a major force ( depending if levy didn't sell anyone )

Nothing wrong with having faith in a player, but is Sherwood hell-bent on picking bentaleb for every game? Give him a few games then a bit of a breather

Etienne Capoue has said he has fallen victim to English ignorance of foreign players, and suggested he will leave Tottenham if the opportunity arises.
Capoue, 25, has dropped out of the first-team frame since Tim Sherwood replaced Andre Villas-Boas as manager at White Hart Lane.
The France international has even seen young compatriot Nabil Bentaleb, who was coached by Sherwood through Spurs' youth teams, occupy his preferred midfield role in recent games, and L'Equipe reported on Friday Sherwood does not know enough about last summer's €10 million capture from Toulouse.
"I'm not surprised. That's the English attitude. They don't know foreign players very well," L'Equipe quoted Capoue, who has played 14 Premier League games this season, as saying.
"It's tough. I've gone from first-team regular to someone who is putting themselves forward to play. It's the first time I've experienced this."
With each passing game in which he plays merely a bit-part role, Capoue can also see his chances of featuring for France at next summer's World Cup fading.
"If I don't play, it's going to be difficult," said Capoue, who did not rule out quitting Spurs in an attempt to boost his playing time. "If something comes along, we'll talk about it."

With Sherwood we've only played 1 Premiership game with a DM and that was against United when Capoue came off in the 65th minute.

We haven't done too bad without one so far

I think he meant players in foreign leagues.

We've got 2 French, 1 Belgium, 1 Brazilian, 1 Danish, 1 Togoleleleese and 1 Spanish starting and Sherwood doesn't know about foreign players

It wasn't the smartest rant i've ever seen

Overseas players. To be fair he was the u21 coach, this was pretty predictable. Hope it doesn't cost us.

true. but in swansea game we had 3 in midfield. so thats a different case

then against city and arsenal we lost comprehensively whilst having none of the game in midfield

Luis Aragones has died

I think he probably means more that Sherwood is just not looking at what he can do/bring to the teams.....

He sounds desperate to play.. gotta be a good thing, surely?

If he'd said Sherwood is picking his own favourites from the players he knows he might get some sympathy. Fair play to Sherwood though, he's told Capoue to prove himself and he'll play him

Van gaal quoted as saying he'll retire after the World Cup "unless a very great challenge comes along"
