Then you pull it back to the original foul or where the foul started which was outside the box.

As for red card not for me another defender in line with them.

The new rule

A new rule came in this season, with the intention of preventing teams being punished twice when conceding penalties.

Consequently, many last-man fouls in the box are now meant to be yellow card offences, instead of sending offs.

They were punished twice

How do you back up the new rule 🙈😂

It doesn't include pushing or pulling opponents though only if genuine attempt to play the ball.

It's the defenders around that make me think it's not a red

The new rule states that if the player makes no genuine attempt to play the ball (which Redmond didnt) then he shall be sent off also. Dean is an awful referee but on this occasion by the letter of the law he was spot on.
