I dont think the travel helps at all, however I do think you are overrating the effect it has a tad.

I feel sorry for Tim though, its lose-lose. Pick too strong a team and the fans will slate you at the weekend. Pick too weak a team and lose, then the fans will slate you midweek.

We pass side to side because of the bloody to similar players we have playing on the pitch at the same time Paulinho, Bentalab and Dembele are all to similar players that don't really offer much attacking threat (Paulinho every now and then) so we are always going to pass side to side. I hate this f ucking 3 central midfield set up and always have done. It didn't work under AVB and it dosen't work now. Get Eriksen on and soldado and go 2 UPFRONT FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair we seem to start plenty of games slowly regardless of travelling abroad

I do get Chronic's point to an extent though

mate we barely ever play on a saturday to begin with !, and secondly its because we are not that good.

i don't think you are understanding my point. my point is not that europa league has faaacked us, my point is that the trip to and from the ukraine a couple of days ago is a potential reason for some of the sluggishness we have just seen.

i then reinforced my point that noting that dembele and lennon have been the two liveliest players and they happened to have not travel.
