Good that we still have moura on bench after already bringing on Lamela. Should win this now

Begovic is pony, get some shots on him and he will concede

Used to be good, seems rotting on Chelsea's bench for a while has ruined him

Lamela looks really sharp

Hope the lad gets to his best at Spurs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s playing for a new contract

Hardly

Told you they couldn’t keep that pace up

Think I’ve been spoilt by having Walker playing for us. I always expect the FB to take his man on so when it doesn’t happen it annoys me

I thought Lamela should have started.

Rubbish half overall

posted on 11/3/18

Funny enough once Lamela came on for Kane, Spurs looked so much better going forward. Crossing and defending were still rubbish though.

Same, when Aurier was signed it was put across he had pace but he's no where near as quick as Walker

I don’t think there are many FB’s as quick as Walker tbh.

Might end up being a useful rest for Kane, providing he doesn't miss too much.

Play Sanchez RB?

He’s probably quickest player in our team now and his crossing can’t be any worse

Comes just before the international break so if it's something minor he'll get a decent rest and then hopefully be in flying form for the final run in. And from England's point of view he'll be (slightly) less burned out for the World Cup.

Well we rode our luck there for sure

Will just have to settle for 1 good cross for every 5 from Aurier
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same with literally every other fullback
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trippier is a better crosser than Aurier. You should be able to agree on that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but even his crossing isn’t great. The statistic I read the other day was something like 15% of his crosses reach a man or something.

Him and Ben Davies like too hit their crosses into the first man too often, whereas Rose and Aurier tend to way over hit their crosses too often.

Lamela has looked good since he replaced Kane, team started to move much quicker and passes sharper.

Still look a little shaky at the back, Rose is not impressing me these days, seems to have lost his burst of speed and as for his crossing

As for their goal, Rose bought a dummy that Mothercare wouldn’t sell!

Rose been terrible. Back 4 looks well dodgy. Think we'll still win.

We have had to settle for that from all our full backs for the last 5 years or so

Lamela is painfully one footed btw, he can be quite frustrating to watch when playing in that left-inside position

Trippier has a better success rate for good crossing, even if there are some poor ones. And he does know how to throw. To do that as much as Aurier has is getting embarrassing now.

Aurier is still a much better player than Trippier, much more energy. He is giving an outlet every attack.

You would think Poch would have made him work at it in training. And that a fairly small amount of training would be enough to teach him how to not foul-throw.
