On another note, why isn’t lascelles ever talked up for england? Newcastle captain, solid and very young. Yet
Players like keane and maguire are lauded non stop

He made like one England squad, Keane definitely isn’t talked up. Lascelles talked about a lot more this season, and rightly so.

The one that deserves being lauded is Alfie Mawson. Anyone that saw him last night will see a young Vertonghen. Very cool on the ball. Plays out.

Plus he's just been relegated. Could be worth a punt.

From my second half viewing I’d say Eriksen

Was got past way too easily down their left for a great chance to equalise. He's very poor in the air too. Heads it straight in the air or to one of their players, if he even wins the header

That was by far Vertonghen's worst game this season.

Vertonghen was shocking, especially the first half.

Sanchez was essentially a one man defence and did incredibly well.

Quality in the air all game as well.

Well Verts was ok second half.

Yet poor first, getting knocked off the ball easily, getting caught on the ball at least three times leading to dangerous counters.
