Hardly a terrible result but performance wasnt impressive. Just played Watford at the wrong time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When's the right time? Clubs that win titles dont wait to play every team at the 'right' time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure your right, but Watford have more momentum than ever at the mo.
Its obv not a great result but I just dont see it as an awful one. 5hit happens. With a few additions in Jan I think Spurs could have more options from the bench to tackle the more thuggish teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are those additions for the 2019/20 season?
So are we still happy we didn't make any signings in the window?

The lack of signings reason will come later in the season.

Tbh im just glad I cant get shot down anymore or called a hater for saying Spurs should have invested.
You dont get kudos for not spending money you generate and our league makes record amounts of money for its teams. Spurs got CL £ too.
I get the new stadium is an expense but I refuse to believe Levy cant juggle funds to allow u to get some squad additions. If u earn it, re invest it.

here we go. This argument can be applied to every defeat by every club ever. Every time a team lose it’s because they didn’t sign good enough players
Was simply an awful display. Chance to go top blown again

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cos I enjoy watching Pool and Spurs, cos the team I follow is 5hit. I love good football.
Obv to the die hard, as I dont buy a season ticket, my opinion is worth little, but I still think they are the best footballing sides.
I dont count City really as they are more like the harlem globe trotters.

Isn't it a bit like when you made an article about how people were proved wrong about a lack of spending because we made a decent start?
Anyway, it was a rather weak bench today with nobody coming on who was ever going to really change the game. We look like we lack pace still, and Kane, Eriksen and Alli to some degree have returned from the WC in not the best form.
Whether new signings would have helped specifically today or not, I think we've shown that we're not ready to be the title winners Sandy has made us out to be.

So City don't play good football, they play basketball?

No its more a case of when Pool and Spurs play I know they can lose but they still try and always play footy thats good on the eye.
City just always look like they are going to win...kinda boring. I get they had a bad ref decision against wolves but generally its kinda dull watching them when they seem levels above everyone else.

It was always going to be a meltdown by supporters at the first sign of a defeat. I have already moved on. Not happy with the defeat, but that is the way it is. Three away games, two wins.

Might even find that top 4 will be a challenge. I mean either Watford go on to have a great season or we've had one of our very uncommon defeats to a mid-table side outside of the top 6 already into the 4th game of the season. Can't afford too many more of them.

That Watford team stink of the Leicester title winning side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont think the title winning Leicester team would even get top4 this year.
Was a bit of a freakish situation and I was living in leicester at the time.
Didnt really have any serious competition at a time when most of the large clubs were going through a transitional stage.
Chelsea, Pool, Spurs and City are way stronger now.
Watford were in the top 4 this time last season if memory serves.
Could of been so different had that penalty been given for the foul on Lucas first half, another game influenced by the referee.
That doesnt hide the fact that we were poor though, a draw would have been a fair result in my opinion, we gifted Watford the points through poor defending.
Good Afternoon Gents
What a game we have on our hands, two of this seasons contenders go head to head. Liverpool have looked decent this season but we are the toughest opponents they've faced up to now.
This will be tight but I'm going 2-1 to us.... COYS!!
