Without trying to come to much to the defence of our 'defence', we haven't had a settled backline for most of the season. Jan was out, then Vlad. Rose has been in an out.

You can get away with a lack of organisation in midfield but not in defence. For instance, Arsenal have had a lot of midfield injuries but Mertesacker and Koscienly have been constantly available. Similarly Cahill and Terry have had very few injury problems. Must make organising a defence so much easier.
