Jose will take away to Stoke seriously, unlike our previous manager.

You just couldn't resist a sly Poch dig could you
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not having a dig at all, just not sugar coating it.

In Poch’s last season he went full strength in the CC against Chelsea in the semi final
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Semi, yes, nearly all clubs go full strength in the semis.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But Jose played a weak side on Tuesday ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He had no choice, with tonight's game two days later. He would have absolutely gone full strength had it not been for tonight's game.

I actually agree Sandy, but you’ve always been in favour of playing your best side for each game and that modern footballers should be able to cooe with a busy schedule

Just so we’re clear Sandy, are you now in favour of rotation ?

Very good point. Do you (or anyone else) happen to know whether the group stages will solely be covered by Premier Sports or are they to be on BT Sport or Sky? Or any one of the 'normal' channels?

posted on 1/10/20

I’m sure it’s all on BT like in other years now.

Get it right Palmers. I have never been in favour of unnecessary rotation, where Spurs used to have just one game a week, and you would see three different right backs, in three weeks. At the moment rotation is very necessary.

What is this, a Sandy bashing session.

BT will have the group stages. Premier gave me, and I assume others a free month after the shambles of the first match.

No problems, I like you as a poster.

Just that I often get misquoted. As I said I have never been in favour of rotation just for the sake of it. I always believe where possible play a settled side. But obviously with four games Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday there of course will have to be rotation.

If Spurs were just playing one game week to week, then I would expect a settled team. Hate to bring up our previous manager, but he was rotating from one Prem game to an FA Cup Semi with different defences and goalies. Just never made sense to me.

It annoyed me too, especially in the full back position. It was like the same full back could not play 2 games a week, even though the likes of LFC and City rarely rotated theirs.

That said, our biggest downfall when 'arry was manager was that despite having a large squad he ground the first XI into the ground and only called upon the backup when necessary....with the backup having sat on a bench for weeks and months and never really match fit or motivated,

What`s hypocritical about comparing the two managers. This is a football forum. Are you trying to say you only like comments that agree with you.

Move on fella, you seem absolutely more obsessed about our previous manager than I do, if it is upsetting you so much you have to jump on any poster that mentions his name.

You can act as tough as you want Sandy. How many times have you had a pop at posters for bringing up Poch, and now you’re doing it yourself, even after a resounding 7-2 victory, just seems a bit silly.
