Infuriates me the way he won’t play Vini when having a bunch of runners up top doesn’t suit his own tactics. Obviously he’s no Kane, but you still need someone that can get the nod downs, hold the ball up etc. we should have enough to beat this lot even without Kane & PEH though.

Dele could work as a false 9. He's never going to be a striker though if he can't beat a man.

Why is beating a man a prerequisite for being a striker? I can think of loads of successful strikers who can’t dribble to save their lives

He can't beat them with pace, tricky, or strength though.

He only scores due to his timing of runs into the box. That's great, but a much more useful attribute for a number 10.

I wouldn’t really agree firstly as he is a decent enough dribbler, and he’s relatively strong I’ve seen him often get the better of a lot of defenders especially in the air.

However those reasons never effected Hernandez, or Inzhagi, or Falcao etc etc

I think they're valid reasons for why he's not a striker. At best he can wrong foot a player in the box. I like Dele. But he's not a number 9.
