Controversial opinion, I know, but I think Bale has actually done OK whenever he's been given some minutes. There have been games when he's been actually toilet, but that's true of everyone bar pretty much Kane.

It's not been the comeback we all hoped for, or even expected, but there are still flashes of the old brilliance. The footwork against City, the freekick against Antwerp, the header against Brighton, the little run against West Ham (ruined by the finish). He's been more effective from an attacking point of view than Bergwijn, who's played a lot more games.

Nothing controversial about it mate. Said it before and I’ll say again, even a half hearted bale is better than the s** Bergwijn has conjured up this season. Our best front 3 are Bale, Son and Kane. It’s as simple as that.

He’s had good moments against craaaap opposition and Brighton. He was a big reason why we lost a 3-0 lead to WHU. He’s been ok but really not done anything against good opposition (bar Brighton)
