Wow Taraabt playing as well as Jan V against the gooners. Come on Adel!
Toby's a tricky one. Definitely our best defender but he doesn't lead the line well at all. So you need Dier next to him but they're both turtles..
Just lock Sanchez up in the toilet.
Bergwijn has no end product hopefully it will come.

I have a soft spot for Toby but he’s deffo past his best now. CB has to be a priority in the summer. Realistically we need two of them.

2nd leg?
Good job. Given ourselves some breathing space and chance to rest players for the 2nd leg. Didn't catch all of the game but am pleased Dele and Bale appear to have had good games and hopefully they'll be rewarded with starts against West Ham.

If they don't start I will accept it, as I hear Lucas also had a good game, and to be honest he and Lamela will provide more energy, but as always it's just the amount of quality they're able to contribute.
I'm also aware of how poor the opposition was today so you can't be too optimistic about the performances.

Wouldn’t mind that team but think it’ll be Lucas and Lamela starting over Bale/Dele. I don’t mind Lucas starting over Bale as he’s played well in recent games, but I really would like to see Dele start a PL game.
Is Reg deffo back? And is Aurier injured or is this rift with Jose ongoing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reg 50/50. Aurier out for a while with injury suddenly apparently. Yeah Lucas and Lamela are annoying cause they show glimpses but dont have the quality at times to really make a difference in the final 3rd especially in big games like Sunday. Bale and Dele would be good off the bench if Jose dare use them

Totally agree about Lamela mate but GLC just hasn’t done it for me.
This season’s a write-off for him too.
So when will he actually do it? Because last season we thought he was all good for this season. And I think the season before was the same.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was carrying an injury last season. Hopefully he gets back to his best.
I would start Bale against West Ham and maybe leave Dele on the bench in favour of Lucas. However much people rate Bale, for the minutes played I bet he has quite good stats in terms of goals and assists. It makes a mockery of Berg to be honest, as much as he does decent other work with the ball.
Jose said he took Dele off because he was on a yellow and didn't want to risk it. Fair enough.

Thought Bale, bar the goal, wasn’t great.
Touch all over the show.

I was thinking the same of Lucas for the part of the match I saw. Frustratingly kept running into trouble and losing the ball.
