I always look at a 1st leg result from the point of view of would I have taken it before ko and in this case the answer is too right.

I have no doubts we will score over there so they'll need at least 4 goals to knock us out.

Positives: Sanchez growing in confidence, rested some key players, full backs played well, attack still firing even with rotation.

Negatives: Dele flat, Kane's knock

Caveat: They weren't that good

An explanation for that decision (or lack of it) would be nice but I won't hold my breath.

Just another case of VAR not being used correctly.

Lamela has started looking like a good squad option again. Both he and Lucas have these last few weeks.

I'd still be worried though if we were to lose Kane for any period of time.

I think we just play Son up front if Kane’s out. I'd almost be more worried about the creativity he's bringing right now. We need Lo Celso back as another option in midfield

Some of Son's crossing lately has been on the money. Left or right foot. He is so good. Not gonna even contemplate Kane getting injured.

We need to file a complaint against the VAR ref, and pitch ref because that was a pen as Ndom was checked in the box!

Theyre both fine as squad players, the issue with needing them out is due to too many overseas players and being overstocked in their positions.

Kane would be irreplaceable at any team tbh, I think Vinicius is the perfect 2nf striker to kane, as as long as kane is here he will be playing every game near enough.

The issue is the way we play with no number 10 or playmaker type Kane is also that player for us. He's so many players all into one. Need to take the burden off with better quality around him aside from Son(who a lot of his goof stuff is because of Kane).

That would be the obvious choice and with Bale now in form and playing it wouldn't be as bad without Kane as it would have a while back. But still he is so important to us.

Vinicius upfront yoy mean. I love son but he can't lead the line. At least have to adapt with a different type of striker to Kane who is one in a million.

Everyone will call for ings or a better striker but they will want to be first choice and won't be, also still need to adapt our game so everything doesn't go through the forward as if it were kane

Yeah I'm not saying we should now hold on to Lamela and Lucas. I still think they can leave you frustrated and we can improve on them, but it's a good sign for the rest of the season. Both looked worthless a month ago.

We don't make enough of it. Only Kane was asking for it and Jose on the touchline. We don't surround the ref and we are very polite when asking "excuse me mr ref, I think that was maybe, not sure, sir a pen?"
