Spurs are at Slumtip Park on the opening days. Revenge will be sweet.

Second time we've been stitiched up by the premier league. It has been a long time agreement that the home games are rotational with arsenal. Everytime arsenal have had the break there way. The year they opened there stadium we let them have our home game and then they refused to allow us the next season. Joke of a decision.

Nice one though hengy, mystic megs got nothing on you!

why are we always away to Arsenal so early in the season

home to LFC on the 30th August.....so sadly Levy will not have signed anyone by then, not until later that night <standard>

They would have lost Suarez by then

Quite a kind fixture list IMHO.
Games against the other 2013-14 PL top 7 is spread evenly thru the season.
Final 10 games is not too bad.

@SpursOfficial: You can check out all our fixtures here – http://t.co/GLsI4n70RQ (remember they are subject to change) #FixtureReleaseDay

And at least 6 of our first 16 games are Sunday KOs just because of the Europa fixtures.

We have been away on the first day two seasons running, yet Arsenal & Liverpool have both been drawn at home two seasons running! Nothing equitable about that, is there?

posted on 18/6/14

Away for first and last game of the season is hardly equitable, is it.

Genius

Spurs have probably only been at home half a dozen times in the past 20 years opening day of the season, not sure how they do the fixtures now, it used to be alternate seasons between Spurs and Arsenal.

I would assume that DL will be writing to the PL for an explanation.

Very well speculated there, U19632.
6 times opening at home in the last 20 years.
3 times in the last 11.

This must be down to the G00ns, as both cannot play at home in the league on the same day.

Surely that is something that needs to be addressed at the top level. Arsenal have no more rights than we do..........................................unless of course if whoever programmes the computer is a gooner!

Interesting claim (by the bestest Internet fwend of doodoos and 4th ban beckons) as to why the opening fixture seems so skewed against Spurs (apparently the club actively seeks this arrangement) .

Why would they do that?

"Why would they do that?"

Allegedly to get as much summer daylight onto the pitch as possible.
The current Shelf / Park Lane sections apparently mean the Park Lane goal area is in too much shade (same problem new Wembley has) , so the extra week is appreciated by the groundstaff.

From the pics I see the other day the new pitch is laid and looking a lush green.... Strange

"Strange"

Indeed. We're going for the groundsman being a G00n.
