should U15798 post again until he/she gets a snazzy new name?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Welcome aboard then horwich white.
hiiiii many people on here may remember me a few seasons ago. i kinda ruffled a few feathers
I remember you. Welcome back. You'll fit right in
Why all the Kevin Davies hate? Along with Eagles he has been the only player actually standing up to be counted and making a meaningful contribution.
He took some justified flak last season. However I'm not sure its justified so far this season.
i certainly didnt fit in last time i was here. my views wernt welcome. and i was known as the WUM lol lets hope i can give my 2 pennies without being slated this time
kevin davies standing up being counted. haha. hes poor on the ball. slow as a snail, never makes a run, slows down play, gets caught on the ball. IE against notts for there first goal.. kevs past it. face it
That will depend what your current view is on what is going on!!!
whats goin on at the reebok.. hmmmm not alot to make a view on lol
This is why you were considered a WUM horwich. You're criticising Davies for one mistake against Forest, a game in which he was involved in Eagles goal and single handedly created the chance for Sordell to get his goal. He was easily one of our best players that night.
Bad example my good man.
Like I said, Davies took a lot of quite justified stick last season, but he definitely hasn't deserved to so far this campaign. You want someone to criticise for Forest's first goal, maybe look at the midfield and defence.
kevin davies upfront on his own against hull. talk about setting your stall out ha. wtf can kev do upfront alone. he struggles with somebody alongside him never mind on his own. lets face it. hes gunna be a bench warmer when ngog gets bk to full fitness. out with the dead legs please. we have all seen enough.
im sure its not just me that thinks hes carp. coyle mayaswell of started ME at hull. my legs work for a start and i could beat the last defender. all in all. kevs no good simple as that.
He has been very poor for years. All his game has is heading and the chest and flop free kick routine. A few sunday league challenges thrown in also.
Absolutely not OP. If N'Gog is fit he starts and I think that you will see this against Watford. IF SKD does start ahead of N'Gog then any tiny bit of support I had left for OC will be gone.
Not only will he start against Watford he will play in the next 40 games after that. Don't forget one goal per ten games is good enough for our captain.
I would prefer Ngog/Sordell upfront myself. These lads are never going to get used to playing with each other at this rate.
Is this the same Kevin Davies who has scored 1 and made 2 assists so far?
If it is, he wont get dropped as Coyle has just used him as an example for the rest of the team to follow in terms of effort, commitment and workrate.
I wouldn't expect our 3 goal a season sensation N'gog anytime soon.
trouble is k.davies has looked better than afobe & sordell, and leads the line better, but hopefully n'gog can do better now he is fit.i think he could be a very good player in this league
I think that SKD merits a start. If you look at Derby and Forest he is far more affective than Sordell. You can't count dropping players son the Burnley or Hull games as you would have no team left. Against Watford expect to see Ngog upfront with him. He is also the captain. Why give a guy you don't intend to play the armband. Also Knight seems to get the band when he is not there and again he will start as both Ream and mills have been worse. Eagle is another starter simply because he has done more in the two average performances we have had. He went missing at Hull but that's the reason he has never played top flight football regularly as he is far too inconsistent.
The players to go are Lee who has looked awful and Wylde deserves a go and Mears as Riley deserves a chance. Sam Ricketts has done nothing to keep his place but Alonso was apparently awful at Crawley.
A keeper swap should be considered too.
In the middle I would drop both Andrews and mavies and play spearing and pratley. Simply because mavies deserves to be dropped and I am sick of listening to the must do better bit in the paper from a guy who has been frankly poir
Firstly the work rate is down ....he is knackered after 60 minutes or so.
Second, Sordell/Ngog is the future strike force. They have to get playing time together for the understanding etc.
Third, our only hope of stopping hoofball is to remove the target.....it seems like coaching is not going to do it.
*Side note: watching the West Ham game this weekend I noticed that Jussi hoofed it every single time barre once. Our bogger's has learned well.
I agree that now should be the time to pass the mantle but how can you when Sordell to date has played worse. SKD has had far more minutes. How can you tell him he is dropped if he has played well
SKD is now 35 and plays like it. He was not the player he was and is only telling contributions is the number of free kicks he gives away ....no ..he should be kept back as a possible impact sub at best.
Absolute crazy! SKD doesnt look as good a player because our fool of a manager doesnt know how to get the best out of him.....or anybody in our team. SKD has been one of our best players this season, tru he had a little dip in form last season.
Are you forgetting one of the best managers in the Prem (M Oneil) was looking at signing him!
sometime i wonder how some of you arrive at opinions. i always try to run with, respect others opinions, but sometimes there just completely founded on tripe!

apart from it being Pratley, i entirely agree with this. Sick of the M Davies stuff n him being a nearly man. i would consider chucking him out on the right instead of chungy for an hour, bring chungy on later in the game. Give Vela a go, at least he has some heart!
