If the missus competitive sport that much then he should just come back play T20 cricket. Look at veterans like Warne, Brad Hogg, Gilchrist etc playing in global T20 tournaments.

He doesn't need to bowl fast and if he see's a ball then he will the ball out of the park which is what T20 is all about.

Picking Carberry will be a mistake because he got bogged down against Bangladesh spinners and the same will happen against India on those tracks.

I hope his first opponent knocks his block off

It's part of a 2 part documentary, ka-ching.

Kash,

He must obviously fancy himself as a boxer... Although I don't expect this latest career change to last too long.

A few bob, a bit of the limelight and off your pop. Regarding T20 I wouldn't have thought he'd have 4 overs in him nowadays...

Yes, Carberry is a big risk IMO. Convinced promoting Trott is the way to go and the way we will go.

Maksi,

Sadly, I doubt his first opponent will be of the required standard to even knockout an ex Cricketer with little or no ring experience. Though I imagine there'd be a queue to do just that.

HM,

I did notice that. Had to happen of course. Maybe he'll return to the jungle with his tail between his legs. Not that I'll be watching to find out, unless George Foreman steps forward that is.

Kash, how on earth could he hit sixes now? Did you see the twilight of his career. Duck duck and duck spring to mind and he hung around far too long if you ask me. The day he retired was the day England started playing great cricket again and went to the number one in the rankings.

We have just lost that position to a great side, but still play a decent game, are the reigning T20 world champions and are number one in ODIs.

Flintoff drove me nuts with his big headed personality and his bad batting.

Good bowler though

Maski you not been watching the IPL and that standard of bowling in those small grounds? He just has to sneeze and he will hit a 6.

lol Good point mate. I did watch a couple of those games but got really bored with the whole thing to be honest.

Why are we talking about this though, is he making a comeback after his short boxing career?

Can't stand the guy. This just sums him up.
Give me Atherton anyday!

.................

No, probably back to the Tv I'm afraid. More chance of Pietersen being knighted than Freddie putting his pads back on.

Sums him up indeed. He really does believe his own hype this guy.

Like I said I didn't mind him once upon a time but he gets on my wick nowadays. What next? An appearance at Lakeside?

He should fight Sonny-Bill Williams, assuming Botha doesn't kill SBW when they fight in November.
