Trap out....

Yeah, good article but nothing new in it.

The supporters, media, players have all had enough of Trap and are seriously fed up. If we get a few bad results early on, I can’t see him lasting until the end of the campaign.

I’ve always said it but the decision to extend his contract before the Euros was a huge mistake.

Huge, huge blunder. The guys a disaster zone. His tactics belong in different era totally out of touch with the modern game and his selections just scream the arrogance of a man who cares nothing for the development of irish football or even getting his best team out on the pitch. Robbie back to captian us again, what must Coleman, Wilson, McClean, Hoolahan, Pilkington, Gibson, Long be thinking privately?? Even we all know McCarthy will be dropped for Andrews as soon as he's back from suspension. Despairing stuff!!

Lets see how the first few games go first before calling for his head
That said i agree with most of the points in this article but lets see where we are by the time we play Sweden first.

Good luck in the qualifying gentlemen

At least you have a sporting chance, unlike our good selves, although can't believe the team your manager has picked.

Whether supporters call for his head or not is irrelevant. The FAI won’t have the balls to get rid of him. Owen Coyle could become available this season (if his bad start to the season with Bolton continues ) and I would love to see him given the job.

Cheers Earl

Cheers Wild Rover (good game between our sides last weekend)

Capello is just chasing the money and doesnt give a Shcidt who he manages as long as they pay him megabucks

McAuley is the most likely to score which sums up our lethal striking options.

How refreshing would this team be?

4-3-3

Westwood
Kelly, O'Shea, St. Ledger, Wilson
McCarthy, Gibson, Hoolahan,
McGeady, Long, McClean

Don't be silly ForestLen, I mean 4-3-3 with younger players actually playing in the correct position!

Did you listen to Tardelli the other day, apparently the hopeless case of a management team are desperate for Duff return.

Pair of planks, geriatric idiota Trapp and his fat lug of a mate hankering after the has' beens!! Suprised they havent asked their buddy Brady to tog out...

Who would you want to replace the idiotic Trap, Forest?

I've never given it any real thought, but I do know that Trap has to go now!

There's arent any obvious stand out candidates because there rarely are people sitting in the wings waiting for an international job so alot would depend on who became available should the job open on the market! Last time the collection of FAI interviewers messr's Houghton, Howe and Hamilton somehow found themselves tasked with the job due the CEO hiding in his office afraid to do the parts to his job that are difficult (prefers getting the drinks in on the FAI credit card)

But for me I'd like someone who approached it full time, watched players, wasnt allurgic to players under 25 (imagine that!!) and so would be prepared to throw youngsters in if they were good enough. Would Robbie Keane make his debut for Ireland at 17 if Trap were in charge??? Hardly ha-ha!! Someone who was a recent student of the game and had a knowledge of the current game and would be capable of thinking beyond 4-4-2!!

Names of people who might be suitable?

Owen Coyle? Proud Irishman and plays attractive football. Harry? Why not, he's the right age and might appeal to him? if Brendan Rogers got the bullet from Liverpool I think he'd be someone that would bring alot to the table. Other than that there would be a group of candidates that would emerge that would let it be known theat they'd be available. Trap was Salzburg mgr when the job came up last time so who knows who might emerge, all I do know is at this point the old bull has lost the dressing room and the support of the majority of irish fans!!
