Is there a bookie that offers 'no' on promotion?

Forever, it was just a made up example
A bookie can refuse to pay out any bet they like, even if you have the betting slip in front of you with all the kosher proof of the bet & odds. It says so in the T&C's.
However, i would be very surprised if a bookie gave odds on, what is effectively a 2 horse race, where a punter could make a profit on both outcomes.
In saying all this, unless you have put big bucks on the bet, and you placed the bet in good faith, they should pay out at the odds given.
yes be careful, that's just under a 2% arb, as you have pointed out, sir k b:
£100 on the 4/6 and £63.50 on the 13/8 returns a guaranteed £3.17 , whatever the result
so bookie would probs cancel or "palp" the bets at some stage
If I was putting money on Leeds to get promoted right now I wouldn't put money on anything less than 7/1
"palp" = bookie speak for a palpable error that they have made in odds, allowing them ,under their t n c's to subsequently cancel the bet
Well today in a certain coupon they are offering yes 11/10, no 4/6, then in the same market under a different place they are offering yes 13/8, no 4/9.
sometimes you might get away with it tho, sir k b, just expect them to cancel at some stage, but if they don't, haha
ask the bookie to fix your odds for both... they have to stick to that
but I have to agree with side's comment below:
""If I was putting money on Leeds to get promoted right now I wouldn't put money on anything less than 7/1""
Here is the bet in question:
Selection4/6 - No
EventLiechtenstein v Bosnia
MarketWill both teams score?
Selection13/8 - Yes
EventLiechtenstein v Bosnia
MarketBoth teams to score
Haven't put a bet on as yet as seems a bit of a risk for just a few £'s profit, but would be interesting to see the outcome.
What if only one team scores
Then both teams haven't scored. There is an in-play bet where the options are both/one/neither, but before the game it is simply 50:50.
