Some defensive work always has to be done in midfield of course and I don't think they're that bad a side. Croatia struggled to beat them last night. I hope we can put out a more positive selection than we did today but we'll see what Levein decides....

Agree perhaps we are all nieve to think of two stikers in a league sense ala the SPL . Near on any side these days at international level does not playt such but has a genuine second striker in a midfield 5.
Obviously you do this in the games you think you can win and any time you play a CB in midfield your admitting before the game starts your more afraid of loosing the game than trying to win it

Yes I did watch the game, from the west stand. They only had a good few spells because they were happy with a draw. They could have turned the screw had they wanted to and I fully expect them to do it at home.

Man for man, their passing ability and touch were far superior to us.

One thing I do agree on is that Caldwell shouldn't be in midfield. In fact he shouldn't be in the same city as the Scotland national team. He has never been a player. How he captains an EPL side and has won 50 caps is beyond me. Utterly useless player, only decent moment in his career was against France, done nothing before and nothing since.

I would say Stevie Naismith falls into that category. He had a poor game today but is generally a very good player and has just come back from injury. He didn't look fit to me and probably could have done with being rested this week.
