You want a serious answer, well here it is. The lyrics can quite easily be misconstrued as being racist so it's problem better not to take a chance on offended our owners because we love them, can you lot say the same about yours?
TEG, as you are no doubt aware the song was written by Robert Smith after reading the book of the same title.
all the lyrics are lines that are directly taken out of the stranger.
Essentially, what needs to be understood about the stranger, is that he is an outcast and outsider to society. he does not fit in not want to in. society cant handle or accept him being this way. Their execution of him, is a statement about people who have no desire to fit in and be exactly like them.

That's relevant C-lister.
Cstander we're all terribly impressed by your knowledge of L'Étranger but I don't see how it applies in this situation. Thanks though!
Halford chill out, I was taking the proverbial to get a rise in my initial post and guess what.... It worked
Soon be time to hear the "we only had 10 men" song
" to get a rise in my initial post"
It worked to show your immaturity.
No surprise you like to get off from a rise.
Did you have a good tug from it?
Go find a women.
him?
more like go and find a blow up sheep
Awwww webbo, that rules out a trip to shottingham then
Anyway TEG, Robert Smith can't be racist, he battled the evil Barbara Streisand in South Park
Talented all the same CS, proper band and influenced so may bands after them ay lad? And down to them and Carter USM I had the pleasure of having a drink with Pyscho (and even had one of his chips) in Finsbury Park just after the incident with Basile Boli. Proper decent bloke. Ironically it was one of my best mates at the time who was a Derby fan that pointed him out. Also had a talk with him (again ironically) at Derby Assembly rooms while at a Carter USM gig. Proper lad, proper player, proper gentleman. If only every player wore his heart on his sleeve like he did for club and country
The lag is horrible, i used to sit in trent end and now john pye and, especially during city ground there's a blatant lag between the two sides of the ground, we must sound appalling to away fans, really need to get it sorted imo.
TEg my mate actually had a thank you letter from Cater USM I know that sounds far fetched but goes to show how down to earth they are!
