hes no the fed thats for sure.

Wimbledon was proof of that, its a shame cause hes a crackin player just very unfortunate that there is such a high calibre of player out there just now.

His victory over RF at the olympics was his first over one of the top three in a five set final.
1st set will be vital for his frame of mind but as long as he keeps reaching the later stages of slams the long awaited first win will come.
Ivan Lendl with his experience of finals in New York will also play a vital part pre match.

Lewis Hamilton yesterday..

Rory McIlroy last night...

Now just need Andy to win this evening to round up a perfect weekend of (non-football) sport

He might not reach the heights that Federer has (then again almost no one has or will). But he can definitely remove his mental block in grand slam finals if he wins this one. The Olympic gold would also have really helped him mentally

im sorry bud but i do not like Hamilton

im an Alonso man

This is his best option to win a major.

With Fed out and on the decline and Nadal out and questionable for the future so he has to go for it. Also he seems to be on the up and will probably be peaking next few years on this years evidence so hopefully we will soon see success.

Hamilton can be rather hot headed and erratic at times, but when it comes off it is great to watch I agree.

Its also clear Vettel is not the same driver when chasing or in the middle of the pack as he is when leading the race.

For me no where near as talented as Hamilton or Alonso.

Why didnt my last comment go up Admin?

I hear you Joe, there was a point from about 02 to about 06 when I hardly watched it, thought it got boring.

Hamilton resparked my interest and over the last couple of seasons with KERS, DRS, and the crazy Pirelli tyres we are getting exciting races again with overtaking

I must have a thing for sports others find boring, F1, golf, cycling, and NFL, (also back last night )

do you like cricket wire?

Hate cricket unless its the short form of the game. Also find boxing rather boring.

Mon the Murray

I can feel 4 hours of edge of the seat stuff tonight!

I do watch a bit of cricket GF, mainly the big international test series like the Ashes. I don’t care for the 20/20 games or county cricket.

I also like a bit of boxing but don’t watch as much as I used to. It seems that boxing is becoming a series of glamorous friendlies with money being more important than titles.

The Super Six series was interesting (although not as good as it could have been without Kessler). It would have been nice for Froch to win that but he was outclassed by Ward in the final. I liked the format though.

I like cricket btw , i do like 20/20 however the excitement at times is class, this South African team are the best in all formats for me, Hashim Amla is the man!!

I love boxing, Mayweather, Brook and Burns proper boxers, like all the matchroom fighters to be honest.
