Good read that champers.

I honestly couldn't give one about England anymore. I remember jumping up and down and screaming at the tele.

Nowadays its just a background noise.

Hydy,

Darn wanted this, not me. I'm just a guy who loves to give the masses what they want

And by the looks of it, a bit of jock baiting is afoot. That's neither a bad nor difficult thing

The "sweaties" will no doubt fail in miserable fashion to qualify for yet another Tournament. This will be Levein's fault and not the fault of the dry up of Talent north of the border

England will no doubt reckon they win a major tournament and lose in the 1/4 finals

which means they are on the same level as us Scots - Losers.

Its just funny because England geuinely think theyre good enough to win it

Italy 90 , Euro 96 , fantastic tournaments, gutted by em both.g (particularly Italy ) i was young then & cared about the national team, do still watch the tournaments ie, World Cup & Euro's, as for the qualifiers, they just mess up the League programme! England will qualify, no doubt, lets talk international football again in June 2014.

young manager, fails to make substitutions in time to win a game.....takes the draw..

where the f-ck have I heard/seen that before????

all the so called jock experts were calling for miller to start anyway.. never looked like scoring, never looked like getting the ball near enough to the goal to even have a chance..

going for "experience" is one thing...when "experience" clearly means "past it" is another..

are scotland the ugliest football team in the world???

my missus thinks so...rhodes apart, of course..

as for england...will be glad to win but not gutted if we dont..
after a summer of love for all things british im still not sure that highly paid athletes (football or otherwise) should really have post boxes painted or the full adoration they have been getting..(paralympians aside)...
the definition of hero has in recent years been distorted to some tune..

Scotland are ridiculous.

Even Serbia have criticised Scotland's tactics ffs. World beaters Serbia!

1998 since you last qualified for a major tournament, where you failed to get out of a group featuring Morrocco and Norway. Impressive.

Scotland's entire international footballing history can be condensed into this:

Gemmill goal, stolen goalposts, Costa Rica.

Joke nation.

Well I'm working on 2 jobs in London tomorow, 1st one in Brent Cross, 2nd in Wembly tomorrow afternoon.
I have also wangled a job on Wednesday morning in Winchester, so it worked out well to stay at an hotel in Wembley tomorrow night (Ibis), ready to travel on Weds am....
Funny how all this worked in my favour...So I decided to spend £35 to go and see my 1st ever England game 200 yds from my hotel.....

I'm the same as Whethers, with regards to Italia '90, and Euro '96 with 'the dentist chair' etc. The pubs were packed every game, and every goal was greeted with uncontrolable screaming, & jumping up & down like a load of loonies....Happy days.....

Has it now changed, or was that our era, and now we are just grumpy old gets...

the team did look like it wanted to play for the shirt..
certain players were allowed free roles...
we tried to play forward whenever possible..

in regards to scotland..truth is they really are ugly f-ckers..most would never have got a sniff of skirt if they were not footballers..the only way they could sell mens under crackers is if you put a pair on their heads for the photo sessions..

at least we supplied the man of the match..seems a few months in a proper league has sharpened him up to some tune.. my mum could play for celtic and no one would notice.. I think mickey mouse would be insulted to be lumped together with the scottish leagues..

btw..
i wanted scotland to win and i do again on tuesday..same as wales, northern ireland etc..
I cant do with the old hatreds and this silly idea about having different governments , its petty and none of the fiscal or heritage arguments actually stand up.. maybe if we have just englishmen fighting in one conflict and scotsmen or welshmen fighting in a seperate one that their government endorses it may be different???

This'll be a tight one

England by a margin on one

with some youngsters playing, we might do something off the "script"...
with john terry out , watch out for the lack of a requirement for an england centre back to make a last ditch "heroic" challenge???(its what happens when the legs go!!!)
Defoe to score, again...be honest he hits the target more often than not, isnt that what a striker is meant to do???

the sales of england shirts being a key indicator.. we are shifting less and less..

being honest, if there were not as many "withdrawals" from the squads for friendlies(now creeping into the "easier" qualifiers) with made up injuries Imight be a bit more supportive,
the german and italian squads have very few withdrawals...for any of their matches compared with ours..
The saddest cut of all is that barry will be straight back into the squad as will parker when they are fit.. very sad..

just watched the u21s..

sunderlands boardroom must still be ringing with the laughter after they got millions for henderson..

still they then bought connor wickham for 8 million, he makes jordan rhodes look "mobile"..

ince playing in behind the striker???

jon jo shelvey looking as though he is playing poorly in a liverpool shirt???

waghorn cant get a sniff at leicester, playing in a deep role doing f-ck all???

after 25 minutes pearce admitted that norway were better than us and we took a draw.. got a spawny goal and immediately ran off to form the deep "zulu" defence preffered by young english coaches..

utter sh-te... norway lost tonight, nine times out of ten they would at least have got the draw, you can bet your ars- they would have if it had been tournament football..

we have accepted sh-t performances from england teams for a long time now if the result gets us nearer to qualifying for some tournament.. problem is we then come up against one of the better teams and lose because our game just isnt up to theirs.. We dont learn from defeats and alarmingly we dont learn from lucky wins...

Come on England.
No reason not to expect another win tonight (already Tuesday here ..I'll tell you the score if you like )
Myth, Nice one, Enjoy your evening, I've managed to see the National side twice now at the 'new' Wembley & enjoyed 'The whole package' on both occasions, maybe I was lucky who knows, but watching TOWN there in May didn't replicate the same atmosphere ! (IMO)

Can 'Hodge' keep 'em industrious & eager ? Same attitude as was on display against Moldova & I'll be happy enough, Ok, so Terry is out, But I'd like to see as close as to the same starting eleven,
ENGLAND 3-2 UKRAINE
Defoe defo to score, 60,000+ ? ..or less ?

Champers
As for their cops solving 90% of all crimes .... I reckon there will be quite a few innocents doing unnecessary gaol time
As for Jockland, I hope they win 'n' all...
banter aside, I can't be doing with the 'fabricated' (divide & conquer) divisions. And. Imagine 'if' they did/do qualify.... far more interest all round I'd say.

As for 'nicking' the goalposts Hydy, They did because they could ! The days when England fans used to be outnumbered by 'visitors' at Wembley, ! if memory serves me rightly they were 70% of the 100,000 gate on the day.....We are ALL collectivley as England fans left with the embarrassment , we weren't there, simple as that.

Good to see you back
I see going on Holiday did nothing towards lifting your spirits, Or are you so depressed because it's over ?

Team game !
The Other side are trying to win as well ....maybe a bit more than 'our' team, Because we don't know before hand, That's why we go.... init ?
