My workouts have full warm-ups (and downs) which I always do.
The doctor reckons it was over-training but it didnt become apparent until I started the Cardio program ie Ive always done 3 lift days but when I did 4 days of cardio recently then a lift day the damage was done

I know, I am doing everything to let it rest.
Ordered an elbow support plus reuseable ice-pack. Modifying my Cardio workouts to remove the press-ups.
Its going to be a long 4 weeks

I dont use a gym.
You could be right though.
Sorry to hear about the injury.
Try and keep calories up to offset muscle loss.
But Im cutting.
My calorie target is 1790 every day which is working well so far. Im not crashing during the workouts and I only get tired in the evening.
Fair enough. Generally, it's good to keep your calories at around maintenance if you can't train, but if you're cutting keep going. Muscle memory should help you reclaim any (if there is any) muscle loss incurred during your injury.
But I am training, Im doing H.I.I.T which burns huge amounts of calories (bar two rest days a week).
Im not doing any arm exercises for at least 4 weeks then I will see how I feel.
I hate having days off though

Thats what I do anyway when cutting vik.
50/30/20 protein/carbs/fat
Think I've broken my middle finger or at least bruised it heavily. Struggling to curl it at the moment so what should I do with gripping dumbbells etc?
I would suggest lay off it and get it checked out.
In other news, 4 weeks and I just finished my first upper-body workout. Elbow was a bit twingey but came through ok

Hows your injury holding up?
Not too bad Ron, it actually seems to be improving despite upping the upper-body workouts.
It twinges only when Im lifting stuff like my kids or shopping yet throughout an intense workout its ok.
If I have any trouble its with hammer-curls.
Did you get an elbow support?
My mum (definitely not a weight lifter lol) has tennis elbow and it effects her quite often at work. She swears by arnica cream (increases circulation which promotes healing) and also uses a support she got from Boots, which was quite expensive.
Id recommend trying arnica.
