So what if you belong to the 'Coyle in' or 'Coyle out' sides? So what if you have been saying this all along? So what if you have always thought Coyle would go. So what if you said our team wasn't good enough before the season started.
Congratulations, at the moment you might be right, but that shouldn't be what matters.
We all support Bolton. We all know that the team are playing woefully at the minute, we all know that we will continue to support the team the best we can.
Being right and getting your pre season predictions right is irrelevant. I for one am getting a bit cheesed off with people coming on here giving it the big 'I told you so'. It's boring, it's pointless and it's a childish game of trying to get one over somebody else.

After many a heated battle on here last season it's just a bit of fun being smug which those that are would have had to put up with had they been wrong. None of it is personal. We all know people on here support their club but its a bit rich that last season the same people saying we all support club were the ones saying get behind the manager and team as if doubting coyle showed a lack of loyalty.
Strange comment Mr Petrov. You yourself posted several times accusing people of somehow putting loyalty to Coyle over loyalty to BWFC. That's 'a bit rich' IMO.
If Owen Coyle carries on at his current rate, after 20 games we will be left requiring 72 points from 78 available points to hit Ed's target and we haven't even played a decent side yet.
Remember, all the fans have been told publically & quite clearly that "failing to get promotion is not an option" so all their expectations have been lifted by that promise.
Even if Coyle wins the next 3 on the bounce, we will be behind the 2 wins from 3 target and the fans will know because most of them can do simple math.
I don't know about anybody else but the pressure is making my ears pop!
There is no doubt that Coyle - even the whole club - is under pressure to perform now. We need to start getting some wins and some wind in our sails.
It's true, this target can quickly run away from us, but until it is mathematically out of reach, I will be happy to have Coyle in charge.
It will be all about how the fans react if things don't improve I don't care what PG says. Two previous managers had x year long plans never seen out. He does listen to the fans. If anything like the atmosphere at the two games at home rises with results not going our way PG will be left under no illusions that the real people that matter the fans have had enough 'its time to get it right' statements that follow with far from it performances.
This is bookmarked. Goodnight LH and TRR. See you on the match thread on Saturday. Looking forward to it
You live by the sword, you die by the sword. At least Coyle and Gartside set an ambitious target and announced it "publicly" (FAO Bricks).
92 points would almost certainly gain automatic promotion I would have thought, but it's also a marathon, not a sprint.
If we're completely out contention after a decent portion of the season has gone, then rationally, a change must be made. 4 points from 4 games is a poor start but it is just that - 4 games.

Maybe I am misreading your comment but your saying that until we can't go up you want Coyle in charge. Do you know what the repreccusions for not going up this season are?
CEF - 3 points on Saturday, no doubt in my mind. I'll bet you a Canon Copier IR 6800C Toner Cartridge.

You honestly believe that's all it is? You can't see the same issues are present that have been present for coming up to 18 months without any solution? Even you yourself commented about trends!

I'm talking about 4 points from 4 games, you know, from the league table. That makes us 4 points behind Coyle's and Gartside's target.
Everything else is opinion and speculation, which we're all good at, but in terms of the raw facts, those are what they are. You might have a crystal ball, I don't.
Promotion has to be the key, with or without Coyle.
However, I'm finding it hard to go into the 'Coyle out' category after 4 games in a 46 game season ......
Ok LH
We have generally played poor football for 12 months. Opinion or fact?
We cant defend. Opinion or fact?
We are under performing and have done for sometime. Opinion or fact?

Does this mean you have swapped your 10 games option?

If you believe that Eddie's company pays Coyle (~1mil/annum) & Gartside (~0.5mil+/annum) to work to their own targets, you're far more naive than I imagined.
Evening FC, sorry for the delay.. Busy day..
As I think you rightly said, Gib was a hole!! Looked run down, too overly built (obvious reasons) & not pleasant at all...
Barcelona on the other hand.......

Re the rest of this... I'm not sure if having a semi break from this is doing me good & giving me a new perspective.. But where is this debate going!!!
CEF, I was right.. Groundhog day!!
TRR is right, let's get ourselves ready to hopefully 3 points on Saturday! Oh & TRR, no!!! Your dog is not following me!!
I'm sure Bricks should tell us what PG told him after he vented his furry at Phil or should I say after he told Phil some home truths. After all he mixes with those in the know with his share dealings, insider knowledge and mixing with the elite in those posh lounges. You know like dining at the captains table conversation he must have said something shirley

Has your 10 game target become 'decent proportion of the season' or are they one and the same?
