Why are people writing of a striker that's barely even had a sniff in the league? Replacing Robin Van Persie was never going to be possible. I thought some United fans were fickle, at least they wait for a season before judging!
Giroud will come good, he will start slowly and grow into the role.

Having said that, I guess he does need to man up. If these quotes are true, he needs to get rvp's reputation out his head. that'll only come with a goal I guess.
He doesn't even sound that nervous or worried to me anyway, he seems mentally strong and talks sense. It can take time to get going in a new league and he knows that even if some bellends don't.

I'm sure he doesn't go out of his way to talk to the media. I can imagine that once they have his number, his phone rings constantly.
Perhaps he should do more to ignore the calls, and just tell them all to go take a walk. Get a new phone, every two weeks.
Then the media will just make it all up anyway, and we'll all fall for it.
