My dad comes from London. He supported Liverpool. Man yoo were winning so I supported dem. Den day got bad, and sold the guy with the hair. Den Arsenal didn't lose a game. Den they got rubbish, so I bought the Chelsea shirt with Lampard on the back. Den they got bad, but I didn't want to buy a new Man yoo shirt, so I supported dis team called Barcelona, who play in France. Den they got bad, and I support the other team in Manchester, even though me or my old man have never been there.

So yeah I was influenced by my dad

In all seriousness, I was influenced by my dad. He banned me from being a Man Utd fan.

Pretty much the same as you Robby, First game with the old man was the 1970 FA Cup final v Leeds ...I was only 7 ........... couldn't even see the pitch!

Hooked ever since

Chelsea was where my family was living when i started seeing football as more than a game as it were, we moved shortly after.

If World Cup 1998 (the event which got me hooked) had of been a couple of months later, i'd be supporting QPR

Funny you say that. About a year after i started commiting to Chelsea, i tried forming an emotional connection to United (because all my friends supported them when i was 9 y/o lol) ........ even at that impressionable age, it just wasn't the same.

My first taste of unexplained, unconditional love

My dad came to England in the 50's and moved to London. He only heard of 2 teams overseas and they where Man U and Arsenal. Because of being in London he chose Arsenal. He met my mum who was a born and raised blonde hair blue eye'd Londoner and stayed. When I was born my dad decided he would take me to watch Arsenal. When I was 5 in 1974 he took me and I never ever looked back even though we lost that game 1-0 to Ipswich. I was, believe it or not, one of 2 people who supported Arsenal at my School but my next door neigbour was a Gooner as well. My dad took me every season until I was old enough to go with my neigbour.....

Pity now I have moved to Hull as I do not get to see my beloved Arsenal much.....like my dad I met a dark haired, blue eyed boisterous Northern lass and stayed......but there is no way I will support another club. Even my youngest Daughter who loves football is now a Gooner. Got her an Arsenal top for her Birthday and she even sleeps in the top...

I support Arsenal because of my family.

Also because of my family, at the age of 4 I decided to support Tottenham. This was because I felt sorry for the fact that they were the butt of all jokes, awful, always lost to us and a general laughing stock.

This lasted about 3 weeks before I realised the error of my ways and I have been a devout Gooner and laughing at Spurs ever since

rest of my family are passionate Arsenal fans-just wanted to be different

it was Zola made me choose Chelsea over Spurs though <loveblsh>

My family wanted me to support Arsenal. Tried to get me to watch all their games when I was younger

Wasn't having none of it though, much rather support my local team. And I loved Blue and hated all things Red. My Dad's best friend grew up on Fulham Road and used to go a lot in the 70s/80s. He got me into it really and took me to my first few matches. My neighbour has been Chelsea since the 60s (ex-STH) and sometimes took me as well until I was old enough to go on my own

The joys of being a 1st generation and lone Chelsea fan in the family

My dad was introducing me to football when I was about five (1964).
Typhoo tea used to have pictures of the old division one teams on the back of the packet - the 1st one he showed me was a pic of the Chelsea Squad, so they were the 1st team I'd ever heard of, liked the name and so began the start of an unconditional love affair that has so far lasted about 48 years!

How my dad wished he'd shown me a pic of Vanilla - I was born only 10 minutes walk from the ground!

God smiled on me that day

Im always a believer in the club picks you.

If you were "peer pressured" in supporting a team that means you were always going to support them anyway.

I was in a school and family full of United, Liverpool and Arsenal fans, there had to be one gloryhunter that went with the team that hasn't won anything for 25 years (at the time)

There was no chance of me ever supporting Arsenal - what an ugly name that is!
