Napoli 1 - 2 Juventus
Cavani; Villa, Pedro

Two very good sides here, but it was that front four of Juve that won it today. Pedro and Navas offer so much width and pace, and Goetze down the middle can be expected to offer a lot every match. Villa up front collected the first of the match with a tidy volley from a ricocheted Pirlo shot. Pedro doubled the lead with a curled effort after cutting in past the otherwise solid Ivanovic. Juve we cruising until Cavani grabbed a late equaliser, but Napoli's late pressure didn't pay off in the end.

Liverpool 0 - 1 Tottenham
- ; Berbatov
I've said it before, but I'll say it again, Liverpool have a team that could take this league by storm. But injuries affected them badly today, losing Marcelo and Oscar from their first team left back up LB Lombaerts up against Dani Alves and Hazard. Against another pairing he might've survived, but those two attack minded players ensured there was always a dangerous option for Tottenham to use. Vertonghen and Courtois must be praised for keeping the score down to 0-1 but Liverpool just couldn't reply to Berbatov's delicate chipped effort before half time unfortunately.

Newcastle 0 - 3 Inter (1-3 if Newcastle get a goal for Robben)
- ; Tevez, Tevez, Vermelaen

A disjointed performance from Newcastle. They have so much talent, but seemed to be playing without instruction. Fullbacks charged forward and trotted back, and the midfielders never seemed to click. Inter on the other hand played it perfectly. Putting pressure on a relatively weak defence with an attacking outlook allowed Tevez and in particular Sneijder to thrive. Two identical goals for Tevez after being slipped through in the first ten minutes made it look like a potential rout was on. But Inter seemed happy to keep the ball and pass the game away for the win. They struck again however, with Vermalaen appearing from nowhere to slam the ball home from 40 yards after a loose Cabaye pass. Newcastle have the team, but they need some instruction to really kick on next game.
