West Ham went wrong by sacking managers who have kept them in the Premiership.

Makrel is that some sort of joke? im guessing it is your attempt at poor humor from a spud.

Pardew will go down as one of the great managers of modern times for us. Got us promoted, lead us to 8th in the prem. FA cup final we were seconds away from winning, got us into europe aswell!

He was a fantastic manager, signed reo coker for about 500k, benayoun for 1.5m and loads more.

the less said about curbishley the better, and roeder, well what can be said?

Alan Pardew was great for West Ham. In his first 2 seasons when we were in the Championship, he was average. We managed to reach only the play-offs, and not automatic promotion.

But once in the Premiership, he was class. The football was good, as was our league position. But, more importantly, he made absolutely fantastic signings which left the club in healthy a long-term position. Players such as Yo$$i Benayoun, who were relatively unknown, and were signed for £1.5m. Reo-Coker £500,000. Green £2m. Harewood £500,000. Etherington £1m(?). The list goes on.

Compare with Curbishley, whose terrble, expensive signings left the club in a long-term financial strait-jacket.
