Maybe a bit early to hail him as a King?

It`s never too early to praise a manager as good as AVB.
Chelsea unbeaten in his first 5 with them so I wouldn't read too much into that mate but delighted we won and dominated

AVB is a triffic manager, a good family man.
"Defoe not being given offside even once!"
Now that IS a stat (FACT) !!!
We should have beaten Newcastle, we played ever so well, still our best performance for me so far.
He's had a lot to cope with with Levy's usual transfer shenanigans, but hopefully now this will bring him some breathing space to get the new team (with Parker injured and VDV and Modric off, and King sadly retired), he has had to start with a completely new spine that is largely made up of complete strangers.
Even professional muppet 'Lawro' has said he needs 2-3 months minimum, so I hope the home fans get off his back and give him some space to get to grips with the job.
The away support (as ever) was superb today and made all the difference to the result I reckon
My thoughts. Defoe played well. Always knew he was a good striker. Bale doesnt look as hungry. His crosses are off key. Dont know why. Gylfi holds on to the ball for too long. Bit too greedy. Lennon and Defoe had good link up play. Dembele was good. Naughton/Walker a bit dodgy in possession.
Anyone know wat was up with benny....!?
Good performance...slightly peeved about another late goal conceded...
Overall....8/10 performance for me...
Think Defoe did get one off side.
Also, I dont think AVB is any where near secure at Tottenham, not yet. One win in four, and Reading? Come on!
He says he's changed his "man management" style from his days at Chelsea.
That is yet to be seen.
Agree, that late goal conceded .... bad bad bad!
That should worry AVB
good performance, top 7 certainly achievable.
BAE was injured , some sort of leg problem same as Livermore
junction - the commentator said he was injured mate
Ted - this is not a new problem for us, AVB needs time to rectify it (if he can)
good performance, top 7 certainly achievable.
----------------------------------------------
Nice to know you're tipping us to finish above you this season then
Nope ... its not a new problem.
Which is why one goal is never enough for us.
Ah ok....musta missed that....
I'm going too qpr...YEY me.....
8bit`
good performance, top 7 certainly achievable.
Why would a team that finished top four last season, be dropping down to a top seven finish. Not quite sure of your reasoning mate.

I get annoyed when we concede late goals again, but I doubt that will worry AVB too much, it happened a lot under all our previous managers as well. At least now we are going in a new direction instead of all this triffic stuff Harry used to brainwash us with.
Sandy
If you finish lower than last season, how would you view your season? Step forward because you've got a new manager implementing a new style of football or a step backwards because of the position you ended up in?

Depends how the team plays, and if they win a trophy. Would you have said Chelsea`s season was a failure because you finished 6th when you were supposed to challenge for the title.
Sandy .... our "new direction" is TBD.
AVB got into trouble at Chelsea despite a six wins start because of his "man management skills", or lack thereof.
Scuttlebutt says "he says he has completely changed his management style".
Well, that takes some believing. Maybe the Spurs players are not as sensitive as the Chelsea prima donnas.
Yeah in the league we were crap. Under AVB and RDM, but when you add in the two cups, The season doesnt look so bad
