a lot of times siggy was free for a little set up by defoe on the edge of the box, but defoe will always look to score especially when on a hatrick.

overall i thought siggy was poor, despite a good pass for the first goal.

lack of clean sheet irritated me thoroughly.

lazy defending and inexcusable

I'd probably agree with most of that, the lack of flair in midfield is probably due to recent form and the team still gelling....looked promising though and Sandro/Dembele looks like a really good understanding developing.

G&S.......................................That's what annoys me about Defoe, he is not really a team player. His only focus is scoring & this is sometimes to the detriment of the team.

This is why I like Ade so much, he brings others into the game & his vision and awareness are excellent.

Completely agree about the Friedel comment genius. I feel his positioning was wrong and indeed very flat footed for the goal.

Gallas again taking up silly positions in what should be a tight back line, stone wall penalty at the end where he swung a lazy foot and completely collected the player.Howard webb did owe us a good decision after all his United bias against us.

I felt Naughton was absoloutely brilliant down the left positioning was correct all game. He is far more tactically aware on the left than he is at right back.

Dembele and Dempsey look like exciting additions.

Lazio will be a tough test during the week they are playing some good football at the moment.

Must admit I'm hoping that now Vertonghen is starting to look assured AVB won't feel the need to put an experienced head by him and give Caulker a chance. Think it'll be cup games for a while though.

On the lloris/brad situation, who here thinks that Thursday night is a very important game with a tough team? (Silly question I know) it's so important that we get off to a good start and people have been saying lloris to start that match which I think he needs to do to get into the prem, but now I'm worried that it's his first start for us and I'm now thinking he probably should have started yesterday to get him into the swing for Thursday, no offense to brad though I like him, just now worried for Thursday.

Greaves, couldn't agree more mate. I think Gallas to me is the weak link in defence and although i like him in our squad, i don't think he is good enough anymore to command a starting place. As for Lloris, i said right at the start that he should be number 1, hopefully we will see him thursday and let's hope he can get a start in the prem.

Vanderbale, if Lloris has a blinder against lazio this would help him a lot.

Lloris has played in the World Cup, Euro's & is a seasoned international player. He has been voted top goalkeeper in Ligue1 for the past 4 seasons & apart from one blip in 2010 WC V South Africa has had a fault free international career with 40 caps.

Do you think a game V Lazio is going to faze him?

Let's hope not genius and I agree don

Exactly greaves, Lazio will be a piece of p iss for a player like Lloris
