I agree with everything said in this Article. 5 Stars from me
If you're a united fan, just picture Suarez celebrating at the final whistle
If you're a Liverpool fan, picture evra celebrating at the final whistle.
The game seems a lot more important now

If I had to put money on it, I'd go for a Liverpool win. We just don't seem to turn up there these days whereas it's the biggest game of the season for them (unless of course they have a relegation 6 pointer later this season )!
Really do hope I'm wrong of course
Why would Liverpool get a drubbing? We haven't won there in ages.
The least important one was in 2004 when it was a non televised Saturday afternoon kick off.
That was weird.
A couple of seasons from now we won't even be in the same league.
yea but the difference is ,we actually arent playing terrible.....just the scoring is letting us down..
if we playing awful then id agree with you....but we are hardly gonna roll over for you

LFC 2 Premier League home wins in 10 months
MUFC 9 Premier League away wins in 10 months
LFC. 5 European Cups
MUFC. 3 European Cups
that's all I've got right now!

Come on, you know this means nothing when it comes to Liverpool vs United
It's a nailed on draw. They were excellent against City a few weeks back and its too early in the season for us to be playing amazing football.
1-1 draw it is.

Counts for nothing.
as I said on another thread, Liverpool always raise their game against us at Anfield.
If SAF plays 4-4-2 we will struggle.
When we roll into Liverpool, LFC treat the game as the last Football match they're ever going to play, so we'll probably lose.
MUFC treat it as a very important derby match, but also very much as just another PL game
But surely this match is the least important for generations, perhaps ever,
=============================================
Generations??? Are you sure?
When Liverpool played Real Madrid in the 1982 EC final, the fans were singing "Are you watching Notingham?"
When United played Wigan at the weekend, their fans were singing about....Liverpool.
==========================================
Monday's newspapers might be better left on the shelf.
==========================================
I don't think we need worry about that. The newspapers like Brendan, so all they'll say is "He neecs time".
Guys, to be fair it's our cup final too. Ask Sir Alex and he'll say it's our biggest game of the season.
It's fashionable to kick Liverpool when they're down but it's foolish to think that we're a bigger club then them and that games against them don't matter.
English football is Man Utd and Liverpool. Always has been and always will be.
But surely this match is the least important for generations, perhaps ever, the two Teams are simply not in competition with eachother right now,
.................
Perhaps ever?
There's been many occassions in the past when we haven't been in competition or have had totally different aims.
Whilst I don't personally believe you'll get an unimportant game between Liverpool and Utd at any given time for various reasons some will have greater significance than others. At this moment in time Utd are on a different level.
Still you only have to look at the early 70s when you were on the way down and did go down while we were fighting for the title. So ever? No. Just another instance of differing fortunes between the clubs.
At the minute, liverpool are in a good run of form against us at anfield, lets hope this changes sunday, we certainly don't want to be 2 defeats in after just 5 games.
I'm betting that the OP is a southern armchair fan who has probably never stepped foot in Salford.
He forgets the geographical rivalry, the rivalry of the two cities, the historic rivalry of two of the biggest clubs in not only England but in Europe.
Liverpool v Man Utd is always a big match regardless of current form, current league positions.
Or he's just a wum

Not seen anything to suggest the OP is a United fan.
