P.s i don't count Atletico as all 4 because Oscar came on as a sub when 3-0 down, and we were all over the place.

One thing I think people are forgetting about last night is that Chiellini had a very good game. Better strikers than Torres may have also gotten little.

He was isolated with 3 not 2, very experienced defenders. People are being ignorant

he is always getting the ball played to him, i dont get this myth that he doesnt, its just he has the upper body strength of a toddler

I'm 100% certain if you and Torres went into a shoulder to shoulder challenge you'd be left on your bottom.

more and more excuses.

Its not just last night? its his whole Chelsea tenure.

His first six months fair enough, London takes some time to settle into, he didn't have the best of players behind him service wise, hasn't had a break for years bla bla bla.

But name we one match he has had for Chelsea when you think, yes we payed £50m for those displays? there has been NONE.

and enough about service, he has had Mata behind him for the last year. The fact Danny doesn't get a look in while he keeps getting picked is criminal injustice of the highest order.

Sunderland, QPR, Napoli to an extent came on and gave us something new and fresh and direct on that right, Genk, etc

This article isn't about service this article is mainly about Torres' positioning. HIS positioning is what we paid money for, HIS abilities. Now Torres is doing what he did before that made us pay 50mil for but we don't accept that. We don't want him to 'hide' in that position and want him to influence the game more which isn't him. You want to turn a 50mil player into a player of your desire but still be that 50mil player we bought. He can't be two people at once.

Mata aint even that creative tbh, first season flattered him because we had fk all creativity apart from Mata. He's over-rated

Toure---De Jong---Barry
Milner-----------------Silva
--------------Tevez----------

Man.City's team in 2010/2011, Silva was struggling in his first season and even with Silva in it, that was hardly a midfield thriving on service was it?

Yet it didn't stop Tevez challenging for the golden boot.

Tommy - So what? Nonsense. Look at Torres' first season there was only Alonso and Gerrard and he scored many. That point is irrelevant.

Tommy let me ask you a question, if Torres' goal return is so crap because Torres is crap then do you think Drogba is crap? Because they have very similar goal records for us over the past 2 seasons, Drogs has about 8 more having played a lot more games plus had a extra 5 months in carlo's final season. Torres has a lot more assists though, about triple

If Van Persie, Rooney or any other striker had played how Torres did last night- they would have said 'Yeah he was alright, worked hard, a bit quiet, mostly down to lack of midfield service'..

but because its Torres, it's 'he didn't score, therefore he must have been rubbish'...

which is pathetic

Reality is we have been a strikers nightmare team for the past two years with no creativity, and now we have loads of creativity we have balance in the team aka no link from midfield to attack and RDM won't drop Lamps

posted on 20/9/12

have no balance in the team *

Before it was "we just need a creative player and Torres will start banging them in"... then it was "Mata can't do it alone we need another" and now it's come to this, aparently Torres needs three world class creative players to score (because clearly that's what Liverpool had).

Before the big games at the end of last season, Drogba was underpar for two season's yes.

That's why it was best to let him go after Munich because we won't be seeing the Drogba we know and love at home to Wigan, that's for sure.

Liverpool at their best were tailored for Torres..

they had Alonso and Mascherano providing balance in midfield.

Gerrard in the form of his life as no10.

Benayoun playing as a tricky winger who had a nigh on telepathic understanding with Torres.

And then they'd have a winger on the other side like Kuyt, Riera or Babel who could hit balls into the box and run at defences with pace thus allowing Torres to feed on scraps.

Torres is a spanish Anelka. We never gave Anelka through balls. The odd time we did he done something with them. In the end he gave up waiting and changed how he played.

Since Aug 2010 - May 2012
Drogba - 26 goals
19 assists

65 games

Since January 2011 - Now
Torres 15 goals
14 assists

50 games

------------------------------

Not that much difference tbh
