I would give Nasri the wages he wants...

And what if Nasri doesn't want to do this?
I am sure he will make up any loss, plus a fair few quid on top, on his wages this year with a massive signing on fee next year.

More complex than that though.

Allegedly this all started initially when some of his representative cast a line out last season about the possibility of a move. Allegedly without Nasri' expressed intention to "move". This snowballed as the club had their nose put out of joint. Once his agent smelt blood (money) this all kicked off!

Nasri could sign a deal on a free in January to move the coming summer. A bumper payday for Nasri would await and worse for Arsenal they'll have a player on their books at the business end of the season who's undoubtably going to be looking to the future and his new club, it's a mess.

Personally I'd offer him a concrete deal and if he refuses to sign, sell him to the top bidder, which would inevitably be Man City and bite the bullet and invest in a quality replacement.

The club and Wenger seem incredibly staunch that they won't do this and Nasri will stay regardless of moving on a free the next season.

Bizarre if you ask me, unless Wenger knows something we don't?

I don't mind if he leaves but I REALLY don't want him to stay in the Prem if he does. That would be awful

Well, then we might have to break some arm/leg to get his consent.

I thought with Gazidis on Arsenal payroll this kinda thing was not supposed to happen....so who in Arsenal board blinked first?

I agree, we should take the 23m from City.

Arsenal have a wage limit and won't go over it, especially not for a semi-decent player like nasri. I would rather we sell him for £20m than give him 100k a week.
