good on the girl. couple of years and she'll be a top ten player imo
I predicted top 20 by end of next year, might have to revise that to top 10, a win here would be massive for her confidence and who knows what she might do at Aus Open which is almost home from home for her.
Fantastic by Laura. She's got to have a good chance in the finals. Didn't realise it had been that long since a British lady had made a final!
Tennisfan, add 2 more years since we won one!
She has an excellent chance, what a great year for British tennis and sport in general.
About time British women tennis is improving. If she makes top10 by end of yr, it'd be real good.
She won't make top 10 this year, top 50 is a realistic goal for this year right now.
Thanks for posting these seriess of articles about Laura Robson's run.
Saved a hatful of match points before levelling at one set all. No choker, this one.
Regarding top 10 this year, that's impossible. She needs to be in the top 50 or so to get her share of invites to the bigger tournaments. The ones she's playing at the moment carry a couple of hundred ranking points.
She did used to struggle closing our matches but she seems to have cracked that now, looking forward to final!
YW Henman, try to bring a bit of variety to the board.
Laura just lost in the final but not before saving 5 championship points to take the second set and lead in the third:

I reckon that tournament takes her into the 60s maybe even high 50s, brilliant to see her starting to make the breakthrough that has been on hold due to injuries for a while.
Also Heather Watson through to Pan Pacific Open, hope these 2 can egg each other on!
A reall step forward for her! She actually looks as though she belongs in these type of matches!
Would not be surprised to see her inside the top 10 by the end of next year!!
Forgot to say unlucky in the final, played well though
She still cost Andy Murray a second gold at the olympics
I don't think that diet of sour grapes and hard cheese is good for you.
